World of Warcraft Item Upgrades

Item upgrades are a way to increase the stats of an item. Depending on the type of upgrade you choose, it can boost the rarity of an item, or its Mark Level and boost additional stats.

Upgrades to gear in The War Within requires a set number of Flightstones and Crests, and each item comes with an upgrade track. Each upgrade increases the cost of the next item by a specified amount.

Item Level

When an item gets upgraded, its base stats are increased in value. This value is the total of all its upgraded benefits (attack magic attack, attack defense). Upgrades can be expensive, dependent on who you employ and what you decide to do. This is due to how many perks have to be replaced to allow the item to get upgraded.

Item level is a popular measurement of power and is visible on all tooltips of items. It is also used as a gating requirement while queueing for dungeons, raids and scenarios, and to limit the amount of PvP gear a player can wear (since PvP is capped at the lower levels). The average item level can be found on the character sheet.

The level of an item will allow players to compare the potency of gear when they decide to buy or sell. It's an excellent gauge of an item's worth and the amount of damage it's capable of dealing with. Comparing items in the inventory of a vendor can be done using the item's level.

On PC, you can check the level of the item by pressing ALT or using the left stick on XB1 or PS4. The item will be displayed with its full description, including the ilvl. You can also find it by hovering over an item and typing /itemlevel into chat.

There are various theories about how the calculation of an item's level is made. One theory is that the level is a number derived from a formula that determines the amount an item's stats are worth. It takes into account the fact that different perks have different worth and sockets have gems that increase the value of the item upgrader mod overall. This process can result in a calculated amount for the item's ilvl which is typically close to the actual Blizzard level of the item.

This isn't the only thing that affects the ilvl of an item. The level of the area where the item dropped can also alter its stats. For example it can add a level to the item's haste or crit score. Items that drop in higher-level situations will have a higher ilvl.

Item Stats

Stats on an item upgrader kit are a significant part of what makes or breaks an item for players. The game utilizes them in a variety of ways to encourage players to not limit themselves to a single weapon and to encourage players to experiment with other weapons. The stat mods of a weapon boost the base stats. These stat mods are then increased by a player's level.

The upgrades to items add by boosting certain stats on the item. The upgrade item (valetinowiki.racing) costs are determined by the rarity of the item. For instance, a grey or white item can only be upgraded once, whereas items with rare tiers can be upgraded many times with higher prices.

Affixes are another way to change an item's stats. They are stat boosts that can be added by the player to an item. The affixes could be used to give the item additional damage, or add a unique capability to the item (such as reviving the dead or decreasing the cooldowns) or make the item unique by adding an additional name to the item.

Currently, all affixes can be changed by selecting them from the upgrade window and pressing the green button using circles arrows. This will cost a certain amount of gold and other items. These can be used as upgrade gauges, just like the other methods of rerolling.

In addition to rerolling affixes, players can also choose which stats they want to keep on an item after it is upgraded. The stat ranges are determined by the item's level. However each item will include at least one stat in the same range, unless it's an item that is unique, or an item that has a God Roll from a boss in a raid.

This is another thing that could be changed by adding the option to upgrade the equipment without rolling the affixes, or selecting which stats to boost. However, as with the base equipment, this would need to be carried out on a per-item basis, and the interface for comparing items will not show all the stats that could be that were gained or lost at the same time.

Item Luck

The Luck stat for a player adds up to increase the chances of item discoveries and the properties that are spawned from loot drops, and the intensity of those properties. It does not, however, directly affect damage or the ability to upgrade items. It simply gives the player a possibility to obtain better gear in earlier waves, and is therefore more valuable in the early game than later ones as most players prioritize more powerful weapon scaling and defenses over the raw damage gain.

Luck can also boost the chances of upgrading items at the Blacksmith. This should not be confused with the Blacksmith's overall upgrade probability, which increases with each level of the Best item upgrader and can be further increased by using an anti-material, such as a Scroll of Strength or a Jewel of Blessing.

Armor, shields and weapons come with the default Luck value of 40. These items can be augmented by using golden ingots or spined leather (depending on the type of material) for a further +40 luck or to boost the luck of the item to 140.

Furthermore some items, like the Hollow weapon, which is infused with Hollow can be outfitted to increase the damage of any damage-dealing skill by five percent. These items can be bought from the shop or constructed using the right ingredients.

Item Failure

Not all upgrades work. Cash shop items can be used to boost the chance of success of an upgrade, or to protect players from losing their item if it is not successful.

The rate of success of an upgrade is displayed in the Honing UI. The percentage is the probability of successful upgrading an item. This can be increased by using Additional Materials or Special materials. There are limitations to the extent to which the success rates can be improved, and the overall chance of a failed upgrade cannot be greater than 100%..

The luck of an item can also influence the success of an upgrade. All items have a base success rate of 25%, and every item with Luck increases that chance by an additional 5%.

It is important to note that upgrade items are rendered above the items in the inventory, so enchantment glint and other effects may be obscured by the overlays. If you wish to disable the upgrade overlays, the config option decoration.renderUpgradeOverlays can be set to False in the Item Upgrader CORE client config.
