11 Ways To Fully Redesign Your Item Upgrading
Path of Exile Item Upgrading
In Path of Exile, item upgrading is one of the most effective ways to upgrade your gear without relying upon massive drops or trade. This article will show you how to upp your items efficiently.
Upgrades to equipment grant a bonus on the item's stats. This bonus scales based on the rarity and level of the upgrade component.
Components
Upgrade components are the things that improve your armor and weapons more effective. You can find them by destroying enemies, buying them from karma vendors, or finding them in item-spheres. They can also be rescued from equipment that has them, or through a high-tier salvage kit like the Black Lion Salvage Kit or Ascended Salvage Tool. Unlike most other items, upgrade components are not destroyed when they are removed from an item.
The main function of upgrade components is to enable an item to be upgraded but they also serve other functions. They can be stacked to increase the level or the amount of experience gained by upgrading weapons or gear. They can also be forged to provide extra bonuses. A crafted glyph can increase the upgrade chances of its target, and a boost upgrade increases the attack or defense attributes of weapons.
Selecting an upgrade template in the GUI will allow you to connect it to an item. This will display a list of upgrade components that the item upgrader can be upgraded to. Alternately, you can utilize the workbench to select an upgrade template. In either scenario the item will be upgraded after enough upgrade components are collected.
Each component is assigned an experience multiplier. This determines the amount of experience an item can gain when upgraded using the component. For instance, organic components have a a higher experience multiplier than mechanical ones. You should upgrade your organic components first until you reach the next rank in the weapon or equipment, then switch to mechanical upgrades.
In addition to the experience multiplier every item also has the maximum number of upgrades that it can receive. The number of upgrades are determined by its upgradeable rank and the type of upgrade available to the upgradeable Best item upgrade. For instance, the most expensive possible weapon upgrade is a weapon of tier 10. The most commonly used upgrade is a gun of tier 6 and an armor upgrade for tier 5.
Sets
A set is a collection of items that share a bonus. Each item in the set can be upgraded at least one time, and each upgrade boosts its guaranteed bonuses. When you first upgrade an item, its initial stat will be +1. On subsequent upgrades the stats of the primary one will be boosted a bit more (for example, +1 to 12+/13+/14+) Every time you upgrade the item, one of its extra stats is boosted randomly.
Upgrades to a weapon may increase the damage base, which may be crucial for certain builds. Weapons aren't upgraded to give greater maximum defence rolls than their base. Upgrades can be a great way to improve the value of a set and unique items, but it is important to keep in mind that they're not necessarily more effective than a high-level raneword in any build.
If the item you're upgrading comes with a guaranteed bonus that is guaranteed, it can be rerolled once and its guarantee will be reset to 0. Rerolling is the same amount of power dice as bringing an item up, but the new item will offer various bonuses. The NPC [Armor] Boboko can upgrade your armor in Central Flarine. To upgrade an item, you'll require a power dice of each type (Dice 4 or 6 drop from monsters 21+ and Giants; dice 7 drops from bosses) and the right amount of Minerals and Erons. These are available at the crafting table or in the Ultra Collector and can be purchased with Gold. The NPC will also offer a special reward for every tier that is completed of the upgrade process. The reward can be rerolled a single time with the same materials as original item.
Rerolling
If the player has enough rerolling tokens, they can roll any item they have acquired during the game. If an upgraded item is rerolled, it will be exchanged for a version at a level 1 of the same item in another set. Reroll tokens can be bought from the store for an amount of in-game currency. However, they cannot be refunded. The new item upgraded will still come with the extra bonuses of the first however its stats will be different also.
In addition to rerolling objects, players can also alter the identification of any item by engaging with an upgrader NPC. This will change the identification from an armored weapon to a weapon, or vice versa, all the while keeping its basic stats and attributes that are required. The change is permanent and will affect all characters who have the gear in question.
The player can also upgrade the level of an item for any equipment that is equipped. This can be done by interacting with an upgrader NPC, and then obtaining upgrade components. The cost of upgrading will depend on the upgrade track, item type and the number of crests. Each step will add 5% more damage to weapons.
The upgrade of an item can make it more powerful, but it will also decrease its quality. It is therefore essential to strike a balance between the two. Some items may not be worth upgrading, while others will need to be upgraded to realize their potential. A player may want to upgrade their breakpoint armor using an interesting modifier (% block chance or FHR) in order to explore what else it can be.
Rerolling is a common practice in Genshin Impact and other gacha-based games. People use it to try to obtain an item or character that they wouldn't otherwise have. These items are time-consuming and costly to obtain, and the RNG isn't always a good fit. The only alternative is to spend money or grind extensively. For this reason, rerolling is a popular option in Genshin Impact.
Leveling
You can select whether to upgrade the weapon or armor when upgrading an item. This feature is not available in the current version of the game. I believe it was intended to be a way to give some value to rare items, but since the majority of gear drops quickly and is only upgraded one level up and you'll typically replace the item upgrader mod before it becomes too old. It's also not worthwhile to upgrade items with gem sockets since the value of the gem will far outweigh the increased ilvl that comes with the upgrade.
When you click the upgrade button on an item, you'll see a small window with the upgrade template of the item as well as the cost of crest and Valorstone to increase the level of the item. The cost of upgrades will vary based on armor and weapons and the latter typically costing more than the latter. The upgrade template outlines the stats that can be added to an upgraded item and also the current ilvl.
The crest and Valorstone costs are calculated according to the item's current ilvl and the upgrade template. The ilvl is also decreased by the Upgrade Item templates reduction percentage of lvl. For example the weapon that has an upgrade decrease of 8% will reduce its ilvl by 8 - 8%.
In addition to the base ilvl boost it will also be upgraded in other stats like critical strike damage, damage from PvE and dodge, block and parry rating. These increases are dependent on the upgrade template.
The amount of defense and damage the item receives as it gets leveled up can be observed below the upgrade cost and decrease percentages in the upgrade template window. Aside from equipment for practice, all items and armor get the same stats when they are leveled up. The value of these additional stats will be determined by the market, with a perfectly rolled version of a weapon or piece of armor able to command much more in trade value than unupp'd versions. This is also true for other armor pieces like circlets and Tiaras.
