World of Warcraft Item Upgrades

Item upgrades are a way to boost the stats of an item. Depending on the upgrade type, it may boost an item's Mark Level or Rarity, as well as boost other stats.

Upgrading equipment in The War Within requires a specified number of Flightstones and Crests Each item comes with an upgrade track. Each upgrade increases the price of the next item by a certain amount.

Item Level

The value of an item's stats base increase when it is upgraded. This is the sum of all of its leveled up perks (attack, magic attack and defense). Upgrading items can be expensive, dependent on the upgrader and the kind of upgrade you decide to make. This is because of how many perks have to be replaced in order for the item to get upgraded.

It can also be used to enforce gating requirements when waiting for dungeons, raids and scenarios. It is also used to determine a gating condition when waiting for dungeons, raids and scenarios, and to limit the amount of PvP gear a player can wear (since PvP is limited to a lower level). Players can see their average level of item on their character sheet.

When deciding whether to buy or sell equipment, players can compare the levels of the item. It's a measure of the item's damage and quality. The level of an item can be used to compare items when examining the inventory of a seller.

The level of the item can be viewed by pressing the ALT key on a PC or using the left stick (L3) on XB1 and PS4. This will display the item's full description, including the ilvl. It is also accessible by hovering an item with the mouse cursor and typing /itemlevel in chat.

There are a variety of theories on how the item level is calculated. One theory suggests that the item level is calculated using formulas that determine the value of the stats of an item really are. It considers the fact that different perks have different values, and also that sockets have gems that increase the value of the item overall. This could result in a calculated item's ilvl that is usually very close to Blizzards actual level of the item.

This is not the only thing that affects the value of an item. The degree of the area in which the item was dropped may alter its stats. For example it can increase the item's haste or crit score. This means that items dropped at higher levels will have more the ilvl than items from lower level instances.

item upgrader mod Stats

The item's stats can be the difference between a good or bad item for players. The game makes use of a lot of them in various ways to encourage players to use multiple weapons, and prevent one weapon from being "the Best item upgrader." The stat mods on weapons boost base stats. These stat mods are then enhanced by a player's level.

The upgrades to items add by increasing certain stats on the item. The rarity of an item determines the upgrade cost. For example, a grey or white item will only be upgraded once, whereas an item with the rare tiers can be upgraded many times at higher prices.

Another way to change the stats of an item is through affixes. They are stat boosts which can be added by the player to an item. Affixes can provide the item extra damage, or add a unique capability to the item (such as reviving the dead or decreasing cooldowns) or make the item unique by adding an exclusive name to the item.

Currently, all affixes can be modified by selecting them in the upgrade window and pressing the green button using circles arrows. This will cost a specific amount of gold and other items. They can also be used as upgrade gauges, similar to other methods of rerolling.

In addition to Rerolling affixes and rerolls, players can also choose which of the available stats to be kept on an item when it is upgraded. The possible stat ranges for an item are based on the level of the item, but every item is guaranteed to have at minimum one stat within the range, unless it is an item that is unique or an item that is a God roll from a boss of a raid.

Another thing that could be changed is the possibility of upgrading equipment without having to reroll attachments, or pick which stats to boost. But, like base equipment, this would need to be done on a per-item basis, and the item compare interface would not display all the possible stats gained or lost at once.

Item Luck

The Luck stat of a player boosts the likelihood of locating items as well as the properties created by loot and the strength of these properties. However, it does not directly impact damage or the ability to upgrade items. It provides players with an opportunity to get better equipment earlier in the game. This is more beneficial in the early game, because players tend to put defenses and weapon scaling over raw damage gains.

Luck can also increase the chance of upgrading items at the Blacksmith. This isn't to be confused with the Blacksmith's overall upgrade chances that increase with each item level. It is also possible to be increased by using anti-materials like a Scroll of Strength and a Jewel of Blessing.

The shields, armor, and weapons have the default Luck value of 40. These items can be enhanced with golden ingots, or spined leather (depending on their material type) for a further +40 luck, or to increase the Luck of an item up to 140.

Additionally, certain items, such as the Hollow weapon that is infused with hollow can be outfitted to increase the damage dealt by any damage-dealing skill by five percent. These items can be purchased at the store, or they can be made using the correct ingredients.

Item Failure

Not all upgrades work. However, there are cash shop items that allow players to increase their chance of success or stop themselves from losing an item if the upgrade fails.

The success rate of an upgrade can be seen in the Honing UI. The percentage is the chances of completing the upgrade successfully and it can be increased by adding Additional Materials or Special Materials. The chance of success can only be increased as high, and the probability that an upgrade will fail can't be greater than 100%..

The success of an item can be affected by the Luck of that item. Each item has a base success rate of 25% and every item that has Luck increases the chance of success by 5%.

The item upgrade (news) overlays are displayed above items in the inventory. This could obscure enchantment effects and other effects. If you wish to disable the upgrade overlays, the config option decoration.renderUpgradeOverlays can be set to False in the Item Upgrader CORE client config.
