It's also prone to get stuck on shoes and socks and couldn't navigate densely packed rooms very well during our tests. It also doesn't have a camera that would let it see the corners of an area.
It's still a good value for those whose home or office has lots of unfinished floors and you're looking to save some money. It's also very quiet and works while you are at work or school. It doesn't have the edge-to-edge floor vacuuming feature that's available in the more expensive iRobot Roomba X30. It's also less effective in mopping, using disposable wet wipes that don't stay on very well and can't deal with dried-on debris. The Q5 is self-emptying cradle, however. If you're required to, the mopping pad can be changed for a wet one in seconds.

The vacuum has a suction maximum of 7,000 Pascals which is more than enough to get the job done. It also has "Intelligent Dirt Detection", which regulates the intensity at which the vac works and adjusts the frequency of cleaning for different areas of the home in accordance with the amount of dirt they are.
If you have a larger home, you should consider choosing a model that has the option of cleaning zones or spots. This lets you inform the robot of which area of your home needs to be cleaned by using the app or voice command. A stair mode can be beneficial if you have number of furniture.
