However, they do have a few flaws however, which hinder them from being our top option. For one, the Q5's navigation system does not feature AI-powered obstacle avoidance technology, so it's prone to become entangled in shoes and socks, and is unable to navigate tightly packed rooms very well in our tests. It also doesn't come with a camera that would let it see the corners of the room.
It's still a great option for those who want to save money on an Roomba from iRobot and have a mostly bare-floor home or office. It's also very quiet and you can use it while you're at work, or at school. The only thing it lacks that you won't find in the pricier iRobot Roomba X30 is edge-to-edge vacuuming of floors with no floor. It's also less effective at mopping, as it relies on disposable wet wipes that don't hold on very well and can't deal with dried-on debris. 3. iRobot Roomba X40
This mop and vacuum combination has a sleek, circular design that appears more like a regular Roomba model than the boxy models from the competition. It's one of our most appealing looking robot vacuums. iRobot’s latest flagship model is also its smartest. It features advanced features, like Enhanced Dirt Detection as well as future compatibility (another company’s robot that can wash mop pads in a self-cleaning manner).
It's also the sole robot vacuum/mop that scored a perfect 10 out of 10 in our evaluations.
