We had the opportunity to test drive the EV9 for a few hours on a local freeway, and found it to be a breeze to drive and comfortable for long distances. The ride is smooth and smooth over bumps and ruts, while the EV9 does a great job of suppressing wind and road noise on the highway. The acceleration is surprisingly quick and the vehicle has adjustable regenerative braking to enable "one pedal driving" by lifting off of the accelerator.

GreenPower produces about 10 EV Star buses per month for the Jacksonville Transit Authority. The Jacksonville Transit Authority is replacing their older diesel vehicles fleet with 100 electric power scooters vehicles. With the Biden Administration planning to electrify school buses across the country, GreenPower plans on ramping production to meet demand. Their EV Star buses are the first of their kind to be Altoona tested and FMVSS-certified, Buy America compliant, and ADA compliant. This will make them eligible for federal transit grants.
