Throne and Liberty Gear Upgrades
Upgrading gear increases its base stats, and sometimes boosts its extras. The value of these upgrades is determined by the gear's tiers, their requirements, and how many random augmentations are made available.
The most powerful racial Shield Razortail For instance, it is often upgraded to increase its lightning absorption function in PvP, and/or to provide additional defenses to missile-based build in the PvM. This makes it more exchangeable over the unupgraded version.
Reroll Tokens
Reroll tokens can be used to reroll an acquired item, such as an armor, weapon, or ring. The item is replaced with an identical item and comes with different bonuses. Reroll tokens are a cost-effective method to upgrade equipment. They don't preserve the original Best item upgrade's level and any wasted resources aren't rewarded.
The surviving players can acquire tokens to reroll in many ways, including the Mistery Box and rare drops from skulled creatures. They can also be found in chests and crates or bought from the market for 150k each. Reroll tokens are used to alter the attribute of an item of equipment for example, increasing the damage it can cause.
Players can roll their equipment in three attributes: physical power, magic power, and health. Upgrades to physical power increase the damage of melee and weapons attack while upgrades to spell power upgrade mage attacks and ring. Health upgrades give the player an additional amount of health.
Three types of rerolls tokens are available such as upgrade rare and legendary. Each upgrade elevates an item to a higher-quality, with the requirement of a higher-level reroll token in order to make it. Upgrades require a regular item. Rare upgrades require items that are either exclusive or legendary. Legendary upgrades require three legendary pieces.
The marker for rerolling, unlike markers or tokens that are placed on action spaces, remains on the space till the next success is rerolled. This allows you to avoid wasting upgrades.
Blueprints appear as envelopes at the beginning of each Preparation Phase, and are opened by grabbing them using Interact. Once they're opened they show a complete description and icon of the corresponding Appliance or Ingredient. Blueprints can be exchanged to purchase a new Appliance or Ingredient in the restaurant's shop for the amount of coins.
In the course of an event, blueprints may be transferred between the Staple Pool and the Non-staple pool due to selected Franchise Cards. This changes the blueprints that the restaurant's shop can offer for rerolls, and those that are in the non-droppable Pool.
Growthstones
Weapons such as armor, weapons, and other accessories can be upgraded in Throne and Liberty using Growth Stones. These are special stones that boost an item's level by increasing its stats and abilities. Players can find these items by visiting Equipment Enchanting NPCs located in the main towns. They can purchase them from Contract Coin Merchants for a price. Additionally, players can acquire these stones by signing daily contracts.
To upgrade gear players must first find the item they want to upgrade and then click the "level up" button. The screen will show a summary of the item's levels and what it will be after being leveled-up. It will also display the amount of Growth Stones needed to accomplish this. The amount of Growth Stones required to upgrade the gear will depend on its rarity. Rare (blue) rarer weapons will require more than one Growth Stone, while uncommon armor only requires one Growth Stone.
After choosing the item to upgrade the player must select the number of Growth Stones that they want to use and pay for the cost. When the requirements are satisfied, the user can select the upgrade button to apply the Growth Stones to the item. The item will be upgraded in level by a certain percentage. Depending on the rarity of the item and rarity, the upgrade process could take between seconds and minutes.
The upgrade process also is risk-free and does not affect the Best item upgrader's longevity. Leveling
Leveling is an optional feature that lets players increase the stats of their weapons, armor, helms, and trinkets. It's done by combining an item with upgrade components at the Upgrade Station and paying a fee of Happy Stars or Happy Tickets. The upgrade components will be used up and the item will be upgraded to a higher level. This process can be repeated until the maximum level of an item is attained.
Items with upgraded stats will have a blue icon next to their slot. Upgrade components, unlike enchantments, cannot be added to more than one item at the same time. Each upgrade component also requires the purchase of a certain amount of items as well as a certain equipment level.
The Upgrade Station is divided into two slots. On the left, players can add an item that they wish to upgrade. On the right, previews show what the equipment will look like when it reaches its next level. Pressing the yellow arrow when is a player has enough resources will start the upgrading process.
A piece of equipment can be upgraded a maximum of five times. Each time it is upgraded the base stats of the item will be increased by a small amount. The highest level for an item is 19.
When an item reaches its maximum level that it can no longer have the option to upgrade. Likewise, once an item is on an upgrade track (e.g. Upgrades for the Veteran or Explorer track will be discounted.
Upgrade components are a form of equipment that can be put into weapons, armor, trinkets, and gathering tools to provide an attribute bonus or extra effect while the equipment is equipped. They can be purchased through vendors, looted or obtained through questing. They can also be traded between players. Upgrade components can be replaced by new ones, but doing so will damage the previous upgrade, with the exception of for glyphs which can be removed and replaced freely.
Requirements
Upgrades to items allow players to increase certain stats of armor and weapons they already have equipped. The requirements to upgrade an item vary depending on the item type however, generally you'll require Dilithium and a variety of Upgrade Tokens (various options are available).
The upgrade items can be incorporated into equipment set pieces and weapons for extra effects or a higher quality item. These upgrades can be obtained through a variety of sources in the game, including through crafting, purchased from the Trading Post or karma vendors or looted from bosses or raids, or collected from dungeons. Once an upgrade component has been added to an item, it cannot be removed and substituted without restriction, however glyphs placed in gathering tools can be swapped without restriction.
The upgrade of an item can boost its Mark Level and/or Rarity. In addition, certain upgrade components come with additional modifiers which can further enhance the stats of the item.
For instance, the helm upgrade "Foundation of the Sun" boosts the base defense, and also provides an additional 20% chance of blocking. The DPS "Wildfire" however, increases weapon damage.
Upgrades can be beneficial for some items, but not because they increase stats. They are more valuable to players if they can get the perfect roll. A perfect-rolled 200/6 500 armor set piece, for example is highly coveted by melee PvP communities and can be worth up to 20-50 times the value of an unupp'd counterpart.
The game will show you the requirements once you choose the upgrade component to be incorporated into the item. This includes the type of item (either Weapon or Armor) and the level of the item, the upgrade Token required, as well as the amount of progress required to complete the upgrade.
Once you've satisfied the requirements for an upgrade the game will put the item in your inventory and the progress bar will be updated to show how close you are to completing it. You can also check on the status of an item upgrade by visiting any NPC that upgrades items.
