The power button, which also restarts the cleaning process mop function, a button for cleaning that doubles up as a child-lock and a home button to take the robot to its dock. Lifting the hinged lid, you will find a 350ml dust bin and 200ml water tank. The water tank is automatically filled and the bin auto-refills.

The only downside I've discovered with this model is that the VibraRise mop pad mount isn't movable. You can change the mopping cloth if required, but it's not easy to remove the mount for manual washing. I've observed that any carpet that the robot touches will come into contact with the rough Velcro like fastener on mounts, which could cause scratches.

The S8 Pro Ultra has a number of smart features that include support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. The Roborock app is where you can manage and set up these features. It also contains maps and advanced mopping options. The app lets you schedule cleanings and monitor battery life. You'll have to go through some hoops to activate voice control on this model. It's a shame considering the performance otherwise.
