It doesn't also have a camera to see around corners.
However, it's a good choice to consider, particularly if you're looking to save money on a Roomba from iRobot and have a bare-floored home or office. It's also very quiet and can work when you're at work or going to school. The only thing it lacks that you won't find in the more expensive iRobot Roomba X30 is edge-to-edge vacuuming on bare floors. It's also less effective at mopping, using disposable wet wipes that don't hold on well and aren't able to deal with dried-on debris. The Q5 does have an auto-emptying dock, however. If you're required to clean the mopping pad, it can be changed for one that is wet in just a few just a few seconds.

The iRobot Roomba X30 packs impressive mopping and vacuuming capabilities into a compact, sleek package. Its agile navigation and intelligent cleaning maps make it quick to clean and efficient at dealing with larger particles such as pet hair. It also has an impressive suction system and self-emptying bin. It's the best robot vacuum for carpets, but it isn't as efficient as some of its competitors in deep cleaning.

This is a feature that we haven't seen before on other robotic vacuum/mop combinations.
3. Roomba X40 from iRobot
With a sleek circular design that appears like a regular Roomba rather than the boxes this mop and robot vacuum is among the most appealing looking in our reviews. The latest model from iRobot is also among its most advanced. It features advanced features such as Enhanced Dirt Detection as well as future compatibility (another company’s robot vacuum best that can wash mop pads in a self-cleaning manner).
