Path of Exile Item Upgrades

item level upgrade upgrades [https://www.pdc.edu/] are a common and important way to improve the performance of numerous items in Path of Exile. They can provide extra damage, AD or even affixes.

Often times however upgraded Common and Magic gear is outclassed by Rare-grade gear due to their high requirements.

Armor

Armor upgrades are a kind of upgrade that can be applied to armor and weapon items. They increase the effectiveness of the item they are connected to. Armor upgrades are found in the game's world and can be purchased from Blacksmiths at any bonfire. Alternately, they can be salvaged from items with upgrade components inside them, with a professional or higher salvage kit.

The level of an armor's or weapon's upgrade determines the amount of damage it is able to absorb. The damage absorption of an armor piece will increase when it's upgraded to its maximum upgrade level. It is important to keep in mind that this will increase the weight of the armor, which means it should be heavier.

There are several different types of armor upgrades available in the game. Each has a different impact. For instance, some upgrades will grant the armor a certain number of additional health points, while others make it lighter and stronger. The name of the armor upgrade will indicate the type of upgrade an item can be given, as illustrated below.

Certain upgrades require magic or a hybrid technology and magic, which are identified by the "Magic" and "Hybrids" entries in the table. Some upgrades also require charges for use. They are referred to as "Charges" entries in the table. The charges associated with these upgrades change every day or never expire, depending on the upgrade.

The cheapest method of upgrading armor is with Iron Ore, which can be obtained by exploring the area and looting chests of minor loot. Titanium is more expensive, however it is obtainable from the smelters in Orgrimmar and Stormwind City. Certain upgrades, such as the Reforge or the Hot Potato Books can only be applied on high-level armor pieces. These upgrades can give significant boost to performance and are worth the investment, particularly for one-handed weapons.

The player should be aware, however, that upgrading a piece up to the max upgrade level will increase its defense value. However, it will also decrease its agility and its speed. It is not recommended to upgrade armor past +9. The boost in defense generally isn't worth the weight and power cost of the upgrades.

Weapons

Weapon upgrades let players increase the effectiveness of specific aspects of an weapon. Upgrades can increase the accuracy of a rifle, or the damage that shotgun shells do. Some weapons also have special enhancements that enhance their intrinsic capabilities. They include Frictionless Materials (improves stability and decreases the chance of weapon overheating) and Kinetic Coils (increases projectile acceleration for more damage).

Most weapon upgrades require one of three Power Dices, a different amount of Minerals and Erons, and a whetblade to apply. They can be obtained by completing side quests or by killing a certain number of monsters and bosses.

Upgrades to a weapon, equipment Set piece, or Whetblade requires visiting the NPC [Armor] Boboko in Central Flarine and paying her an upgrade fee that is based on a specific number of Bars. The more bars you need to complete an upgrade the more advanced the level. The cost of upgrades will be lower if have more than one of the relevant upgrade materials.

In Chapter 2: Season 5, the method of upgrading your equipment and weapon sets has changed a bit. Prior to Chapter 2 Season 5 you could upgrade your weapon or equipment by paying a specific number of Bars. You could do this until your weapon or equipment reached its maximum upgrade level and at that point, the upgrades would be reset.

You can still do this but the process is based on RNG and low on agency. You should consider buying equipment that has minimal upgrade levels, but high base scores and stat distributions. These will be able to give you the best tier of benefits and blessings.

To level up quicker, players usually prioritise upgrading their weapons. Players should also upgrade the weapons their squadmates utilize to increase their power. For instance, Shepard should consider upgrading the M92F to unlock the Beretta M93R, which will make it more useful when accompanied by experts in biotics like Grunt and Tali.

Jewels

Jewels are utilized in the sockets of armor and weapons, increasing the stats of a weapon and providing additional effects. They can be made through a process called jewelry crafting, in which you combine a gemstone and various reagents at a jewelry table. The higher the quality of the jewel the better the secondary effect. These reagents are obtained in the world from Treasure Goblins, World Bosses and occasionally by salvaging Legendary gear. You can also buy them from The Jeweler in exchange for Scattered Prisms and gold.

The quality of a gem can be improved upon by the Jeweler, with stages that range from Crude to Royal. The stat boosts will vary depending on the level the jewel is in when it's inserted into weapons, jewelry, or equipment.

All kinds of jewels can be crafted at the Jeweler however, there are some exceptions to this, such as the rare and legendary jewels which require you to be at a high enough level to obtain the privilege of having them. Like other upgrade components jewels are able to be swapped with a jewel of the same kind without destroying it. You can only replace the jewel once in an item upgrader mod of equipment.

The use of more jewels in a move will make it feel smoother and is typically used for aesthetic reasons. The jewels also improve performance and create an outer layer that is more durable than steel, so that the repeated friction from pivots does not damage them.

In addition to the upgrades mentioned above additionally, players can acquire glyphs for their shields and weapons from a Glyphmaster. These provide a small bonus and can be swapped out at any time however they aren't guaranteed to drop as loot. Glyphs are upgradeable, like jewelry, at the Jeweler for gold and a Scattered Crystal. Glyphs may also be removed and returned to the inventory. Other upgrade components, such as aegis and traits, cannot be swapped out, and are only recoverable by using an upgrade items Extractor or salvaging them with the Black Lion Salvage Kit or Ascended Salvage Tool.

Trinkets

Trinkets are a great way to give your character many small, but beneficial, advantages. They are available in the starting area as loot or as personal story rewards. They are also available from vendors and by the completion of road interactions. They can be found on the Trading Post, or crafted by jewelers.

The first trinket a player can unlock is the cloak. It grants a small, but valuable boost in speed of movement and evasion. The player will then be able to acquire necklaces, rings, and amulets in a similar fashion similar to how they obtained weapons and armor. Each piece of gear comes with one upgrade slot that accepts either a universal upgrade or a jewel upgrade. Universal upgrades offer smaller bonuses and can be placed in any type of equipment while jewelry cannot be changed or upgraded, and only works with certain types of trinkets.

These trinkets can provide additional bonuses and abilities that are active even when the hero isn't fighting. This lets the hero be more effective when not active, and can also help to compensate for the absence of a strong team or the absence of any slots in the talent tree which would normally be filled with hero's ideal statistics.

A good general rule of thumb for trinket upgrades is to prioritize BiS (Best-in-Slot) items that you aren't planning to replace soon, followed by any items with desirable stats but less important than the iLevel of the item upgrader that is being upgraded. This is particularly true if an item has multiple stats you wish to upgrade, as it's often more beneficial to upgrade one crucial stat than two subpar ones.

Jungle players often upgrade their yellow trinket to a red one at the start of the game. Top and mid players, on the other hand they will select a pink or green ward, based on the matchup. These choices can impact the ability of a hero to control the map.

In addition to the items mentioned above, players will discover other trinkets in form of trophies and rewards throughout the game. These can be earned by completing certain milestones within the story. For instance, finishing a chapter’s main quest or defeating the boss. You can see them by selecting the achievement from the reward section of the hero's menu.
