iRobot suggests that you clean the area in which the i3+ EVO vacuums before using it. This includes getting rid of any toys or other items it might come across. It's also a good idea to keep the dust bin and filter clear so they do not become blocked by dirt. When the i3+ EVO's internal bin is empty or the battery is depleted, it returns to the docking station and automatically emptys the dirt into the docking station's external dustbin. In our testing the i7+ was faster and more maneuverable than our top choice, the eufy RoboVac G30, and it took large pieces of pet hair from all surface types including carpeting. Its biggest advantage over the eufy the dust bin is self-emptying that eliminates a major source of maintenance and reduces the cost of maintenance.

Its navigation system is smart and uses iAdapt technology to avoid obstacles and guide you through your home. However, it isn't equipped with the mapping capabilities of more advanced models, including our top picks, the i3+EVO and the j7+ Series. As a result, it can sometimes get stuck on things like phone cords or furniture that isn't in good condition, and often will run out of battery before returning to its home base.
