Which Lightweight Double Pushchair Should You Buy?

Although they're lightweight double pushchairs side-by-side are not foolproof. If your children are of the same age and stage, they could be fighting over who sits in which seat. If they're at different heights, then the tandem model could be ideal for them as it lets them face each other.
Tandem
While side-byside models might be more suitable for siblings of the same age tandem pushchairs are light and lightweight, and are a different kind of pushchair with their own appeal. Some can accommodate a larger car seat and some have reversible seats. Others even have an extra carrycot or a reversible seat in the middle. They are generally more spacious and easy to get in and out of however their baskets tend to be smaller than those on single buggies. However, the mechanism to attach and remove the carrycot is easy and quick.
Tandem double pushchairs are light and lightweight. They generally have tighter turns than side-by-side models but they can be more challenging to drive over bumps and uneven surfaces. They can also be a little slower to speed up and are heavier to move, which can put stress on your back.
A convertible double buggy is an additional option. It is initially one however, you can add adapters to make it a double. It could have a second seat, carrycot or both in the front. The children can be seated together. Some have the option of adding a buggyboard, which helps an older child keep pace with siblings who are younger.
