5 Killer Quora Answers On Item Upgrader
World of Warcraft Item Upgrades
Item upgrades are a way to boost the stats of an item. Based on the type of upgrade it could boost an item's Mark Level or Rarity and boost additional stats.
Each item has a track to upgrade it. Each upgrade increases the cost of the next item by a specific amount.
Item Level
When an item level upgrade is upgraded, its stats are increased in value. The value is the sum of all the upgraded perks (attack magic attack, attack defense). Upgrades to items can be costly, depending on the upgrader and the type of upgrade you choose to do. This is due to how many perks must be replaced to allow the item to get upgraded.
It can also be used as a gating requirement while queueing for raids, dungeons and scenarios. It can also be used to limit how much PvP gear players are able to wear as PvP is restricted at a lower level. The average item level can be found in the character sheet.
When deciding to purchase or sell equipment, players can compare the level of an item. It's an excellent gauge of an item's worth and how much damage it is able to deal. Comparing items in a vendor's stock can be done using the item level.
On PC, you can check the level of the item by pressing ALT or by using the left stick on XB1 or PS4. The item upgrader mod will be displayed with its full description, including ilvl. It can also be located by hovering over an item with the mouse cursor and typing /itemlevel in chat.
There are several theories about the method by which the level of an item is calculated. One theory suggests that the level of an item is calculated by a formula that calculates how valuable an item's stats actually are. It is based on the fact that different benefits are valued differently and that gems found in sockets increase the value of the item. This process can result in a calculated amount for the item's ilvl which is usually close to Blizzard's actual level of the item.
However, this isn't the only factor which determines the ilvl of an item, since the level of the area the item was dropped in could change the value of its stats, such as by adding a level to its haste or crit rating. This means that items dropped at higher levels will have more the ilvl than items from lower level instances.
Item Stats
The item's stats can be the difference between a good or bad item for players. The game uses a variety of them in different ways to encourage players to play with a variety of weapons, and to prevent one weapon from being "the most effective." The stats of a base weapon are increased by the weapon's stat modification that are in turn enhanced by the player's level.
Upgrades to an item can increase the stats of an item. The rarity of an item determines the cost of upgrading. For instance, a grey or white item will only be upgraded once, whereas items with rare tiers will be upgraded several times, at higher costs.
Another method of altering the stats of an item is through affixes. These are special stat boosts that can be added to an item by the player, and come in a variety of sizes and shapes. The affixes can provide the item additional damage, or add a unique ability to the item (such as reviving the dead or cutting down the cooldowns) or make the item unique by giving an exclusive name to the item upgrader mod.
All affixes are re-rolled at the moment by selecting them in the upgrade window, and pressing the green button. This will cost a certain amount in gold and items. These can be used as upgrade gauges, as with other methods of rerolling.
In addition to Rerolling affixes and rerolls, players can select which of the available stats to be kept on an item after it is upgraded. The possible ranges of stats for an item are determined by the level of the item, but every item is guaranteed to have at least 1 stat within the range, unless it is an item that is unique or the result of a God roll from a raid boss.
This is another aspect that can be modified by adding an option to upgrade the equipment without rerolling the affixes, or selecting which stats to increase. Like base equipment, it must be done per item and the item comparison interface will not show all possible stats simultaneously.
Best item upgrade Luck
The Luck stat of a player boosts the chance of finding items as well as the properties created by loot and the strength of these properties. However, it does not directly affect damage or the ability to upgrade items. It gives players the chance to upgrade gear earlier in the game. This is more useful in early game runs because players tend to put weapon scaling and defenses above raw damage gains.
In addition to influencing item discovery, Luck also increases the chance of success when upgrading items with the Blacksmith. This should not be confused with the Blacksmith's overall upgrade chance that increases with each item level and can be further enhanced by using an anti-material such as a Scroll of Strength or a Jewel of Blessing.
Armor, shields, and weapons have a default Luck value of 40. These items can then be enhanced with golden ingots, spined leather, or oak boards (depending on the item's material type) to grant a further +40 Luck or to increase the existing Luck of an item up to 140.
Certain items, such as the Hollow-infused weapon can also be outfitted to increase the damage of any ability that deals damage by 5percent. These items can be found in the shop or created using the right ingredients.
Item Failure
Not all upgrades work. However, there are cash shop items which allow players to increase their chances of success or even prevent themselves from losing an item if the upgrade is unsuccessful.
The success rate of an upgrade is shown in the Honing UI. The percentage represents the probability of completing the upgrade successfully, and can be increased by adding Additional Materials or Special Materials. There are limitations to the extent to which success rates can be increased, and the overall chance of an upgrade failing can't be greater than 100%..
The luck of an item may influence the effectiveness of an upgrade. Every item has an overall success rate of 25 percent, and each item with Luck increases this chance by 5percent.
The upgrade overlays of the item are displayed above items in the inventory. This could block enchantment effects as well as other effects. If you wish to disable the upgrade overlays, the config option decoration.renderUpgradeOverlays can be set to False in the Item Upgrader CORE client config.
