World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can boost the value of weapons, armors and rings. They also increase bonuses like damage from PvE and crit chance.

If the weapon's upgrade template ends in %, it will gain 3% of its previous damage for every time it is upgraded.

The cost of upgrading an item increases as it reaches the current level of the item. The cost rises with item's level.

Components

Upgrade components are items that can be put into armor, weapons and trinkets to give a stat bonus or extra effect when they're used. They can be obtained through crafting, buying from vendors or trading with other players, or looting. Certain upgrades also come with special cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can be placed in equipment that has a slot to accommodate them. The item must be at a minimum upgraded to blue level to allow a component to be inserted. Upgrade components, unlike other mods, can only be applied only once. They cannot be replaced or applied several times. Infusions and enrichments are a special kind of upgrade component that is that is used to upgrade non-amulet ascended or legendary equipment and some of the items that are not ascending back. Infusions and enrichments can be retrieved by salvaging ascended gear or completing an elite mission in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.

A prefix or suffix can be added to an upgrade, thereby changing the name of the item it is applied to (for example, 'Canthan Armor Insignia',' changes to Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades boost the Mark Level or Rarity, which allows players to create stronger versions of the equipment with the smallest amount of Upgrade Crystals than are required to achieve the same level of upgrade item through normal methods.

A 'boost upgrade' can modify the attack or defense characteristics of a weapon or armor. These upgrades are available to be crafted from the Portative Forging Station once the player has completed the cutscene and defeats the Crazed Mechanical. These upgrades are available for purchase them in the cash shop or by collecting them from enemies when upgrading other equipment.

The player can have a maximum of five boost upgrades at a time. Each upgrade increases the likelihood that a higher-tier version of the item will appear in the next reset. This gives players a reason to upgrade their gear even in the event that they don't know what will be improved after an update.

The process of upgrading an item can be expensive and it is likely that the item will eventually become obsolete, or even break, in the event that the upgrade is unsuccessful. Upgrade Crystals and assist powders are also destroyed when the upgrade fails. Cash shop items can be used to reduce or eliminate the possibility of failure. Certain upgrades also provide an additional bonus when they are reinserted.

Glyphs

Glyphs are upgrade components which can be put in special sockets on the Paragon Board. Glyphs boost the power of nodes within a radius, which includes any pre-existing attaches. Glyphs can be upgraded in numerous ways. We recommend upgrading them as quickly as possible up to 15 levels.

In the final game you'll often discover that the Best item upgrade way to enhance your gear is by placing Glyphs. They are the only upgrade component which can be upgraded to level 15 and offer a significant boost to your power on the Paragon Board.

The majority of upgrades in the game can be replaced, however Glyphs are the one upgrade component that can be removed and replaced without restrictions. Only legendary equipment can be salvaged and replaced using a Black Lion Salvage Kit.

The value of each Glyph is displayed when you choose it in your inventory. You can replace it with another Glyph that is of the same or higher rank to increase the value of the Glyph.

There are Glyphs in the Black Lion Trading Post, as part of a Gem Store purchase or bundle with certain gathering tools that are unlimited-use, and through Faction Crypt raids. Each Faction Crypt can drop one of these Glyphs. There are also some rare glyphs which you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.

Once you have gotten the desired Glyphs you'll require them to be put on your equipment. Each Glyph unlocks a bonus that boosts a specific set of stat nodes that are within the radius of the Glyph. Depending on the Glyph, this will either be +40 to one of your primary stats or +25 to two of your secondary stats.

Glyphs will boost all nodes connected to them, therefore it is recommended to place Glyphs in strategic locations on the Graph. This will maximize the impact. Druids, for instance should put their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They might also consider placing them near their primary damage nodes.

Leveling

The system of upgrading items allows players to improve the effectiveness of certain items by placing upgraded components inside them. This is also known as "upping". Every upgradeable item has a level that determines its upgraded stats. Upgraded items can be leveled to a maximum of ilvl 385. Each Item Upgrader kit level requires different components, and upgrade costs increase with each level.

Certain upgrades require a certain ingredient to activate. This ingredient is obtained by completing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be found in the upgrade tab of a crafting table or obtained from NPCs. Each Upgrade Recipe that is completed earns some Technology Points. These points can be used for leveling up an item. Once enough points are earned you will be able to claim the upgrade and receive its additional bonuses.

When an individual player upgrades a piece of equipment it will be replaced by the new item. This means that the same armor piece will get a weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item also comes with its own set bonus. This can be a downside in that the item could be more expensive even if you do not require it.

If the player has enough tokens, they can roll item upgrades. This causes the item to be exchanged for a brand new one, with the level 1 base, and a completely different set of extra bonuses. This is useful for some items, but it's not something that should be repeated often, as it can use up lots of resources.

Some upgrades can increase their value and allow players to modify their gear. Dolphin's Gift is a good example, as it provides a buff if the player continuously enters or exits water. This can be upgraded several times, each time raising the max roll by an increment of 10. This item can be extremely valuable in PvP, as a perfectly rolled version of it could be worth between 20 and 50 times its non-upp'd value.

Requirements

The item upgrader allows players to increase the level of their equipment (armor weapons, weapons trinkets, and weapons) beyond ilvl385 by handing over the appropriate currency to the NPC. The upgrade of armor set pieces will also increase the defense base of that piece, while upgrading weapon equipment will increase the damage base and required strength and dexterity to match the requirements of the upgraded equipment.

All items can be upgraded up to five times, except for hero equipment, which is able to be upgraded eight times. Each time you upgrade an object it is at risk of failing. The failure rate increases as you move beyond the maximum number. Failures can cause the item to return to its initial state which means that the player has to pay for more materials than if they had stopped upgrading after the maximum amount.

If an item is not upgraded the experience bar in its growth bar will be reset to zero. The item will also lose any bonuses it earned, such as crit chance damage to attack, additional effects (such as an increase in healing over time, or reloading speed). However, the player can continue to use the weapon or armor following the failure.

When an item is upgraded, the upgrades are applied from lowest to highest. This means that when a weapon gains an increase in crit chance the increase is applied before any increase in attack damage. A new attribute called Slots is now added to the item's definition and the value is recomputed each time an upgrade is made.

The amount of resources required to upgrade an item is determined by its rarity rating and the number of upgrade slots. The upgrade cost for non-premium items is equal to the base value of the upgrade. For example, a common equipment item may have five upgrades at a cost of 25600 Technology Points, 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero grade items are less expensive per upgrade.

Premium items have different requirements for upgrading as compared to standard equipment, for instance, they may require fewer sowels, but more minerals and erons. The player will still need to take every piece of equipment they wish to upgrade to the NPC [Armor] Boboko located in Central Flarine. Each upgrade to equipment requires different amounts of upgrade ingredients in addition to the cost listed above.
