Throne and Liberty Gear Upgrades

For instance, the top shield for racial discrimination Razortail is often upgraded to enhance its lightning absorb function in PvP or to provide additional defenses on missile based designs in PvM. This makes it more tradeable than the un-upgraded version.
Reroll Tokens
Reroll tokens can be used to reroll an acquired item, such as a weapon, armor, or ring. The item is replaced by another of the same kind however with different benefits. Reroll tokens are an affordable option to Upgrade Item equipment. However, they do not retain the level of the original item, and any wasted resources aren't refunded.
The survivors can get tokens to reroll in many ways, including through the Mistery Box and rare drops from skulled creatures. You can also find them in crates and chests, or purchase them from the stores for $150 each. Reroll tokens can be used to alter the attributes of an item that could include increasing its damage or granting it a brand new stat.
Players can roll their equipment in three attributes: physical power, magic power and health. Physical power upgrades increase the damage caused by weapons and melee attacks, while spell power upgrades mage attacks and rings. Health upgrades provide the player with additional health.
There are three kinds of Reroll tokens: upgrade, rare and legendary. Each upgrade elevates the item upgrader to a better quality. To make them, you need a higher level token to reroll. Enhanced upgrades require a common item, rare upgrades require a special or legendary item upgrading and legendary upgrades require three legendary items.
The marker that rerolls, unlike markers or tokens placed on action spaces, remains on the space till the next success is being rerolled. This allows you to ensure that upgrades are not wasted.
Blueprints are envelopes which appear at the start of each Preparation phase. They can be opened using Interact by pressing on them. When they are opened, they display a description and icon for the Ingredient or Appliance. The restaurant's shop can trade blueprints for a brand new appliance or ingredient for an amount of money.

Rare (blue) rarer weapons will require more than one Growth Stone, while uncommon armor only requires a single Growth Stone.
Once they have decided on the upgrade, players must select the number of green Growth Stones they wish to use and pay the appropriate cost. When the requirements are fulfilled, the player may select the upgrade button to apply the Growth Stones to the item. This will increase the item's level by a certain percentage. Players can also break down the higher-level Growth Stones into multiple lower-level stones.
Leveling
Leveling is an option that allows you to boost the power of weapons and armor. You can also upgrade trinkets as well as helms. The Upgrade Station allows you to combine an item with upgrade materials, and then pay a fee in Happy Tickets or Happy Stars. The upgrade components will be consumed and the item will be upgraded to an upgrade to a higher level. This process can be repeated until the highest level of an item is attained.
Items with upgraded stats will be displayed as a blue icon beside their slot. Unlike enchantments, however, upgrade components don't stack with one another, and can only be added to a single item at a time. Each upgrade component will require an amount of items, as well as a minimum equipment level.
The Upgrade Station has two slots: the left is where players can add an item to be upgraded, and the right slot shows a preview of what the equipment will look like once it is at its next level. When players have enough materials, pressing the yellow arrow will start the upgrade process.
A piece of equipment can be upgraded up to five times. Each time the item is upgraded, its stats will increase by a small amount. The highest level for an item is 19.

Requirements

The upgrade items can be slotted into equipment set pieces and weapons for added effects or a higher item level. These upgrades can come from many sources, including crafting, purchasing at the Trading Post, karma vendors or looting during bosses and raids. Once an upgrade component has been added to an item, it cannot be removed and changed without restriction, however, the glyphs that are used in gathering tools can be swapped without restrictions.
Upgrades can boost the Mark Level or Rarity. In addition, some upgrade components have additional modifiers that can enhance the stats of the item.

Upgrades can be beneficial for some items, but not because they increase stats. They are more valuable to players if they can get the perfect roll. For instance, a perfectly rolled 200/6 504 armor set piece is highly valued in the melee PvP community and can be worth 20-50x the non-upp'd version.
The game will highlight the requirements once you choose the upgrade component that goes into the item. These include the item type (either weapon or armor) the level of the item and the upgrade Token needed, and the amount of progress needed to complete the upgrade.
The game will put an item in your inventory when you have met the requirements for an upgrade. The progress bar will update to show you how far you are towards completing the upgrade. You can also check the status of an upgrade by visiting any NPC that upgrades items.
