Diablo 4 Item Upgrades

The item upgrade allows players to increase the level of their equippable items like trinkets, armor, weapons and weapons above a certain threshold. You can upgrade items at any NPC that accepts the appropriate currency.

Based on the type of item, upgrading it may cost Dilithium or gold. Many upgrades also require Flightstones or crests. The number of crests and Flightstones required to upgrade an item varies on the level of the gear and the maximum upgrade level is established by Blizzard. Upgrading to the highest upgrade level can be costly particularly when you're upgrading gear for PvE.
