Boosts
There are many boosts you can get with an upgrader. These could include stats and extra bonuses. These bonuses can be used on weapons, armor and trinkets. They can be used to boost the abilities of the character, or can be added as an aspect of variety to an existing build.
The upgrade system in World of Warcraft allows players to upgrade the quality of their equipment by spending money at an upgrader for items NPC. This system was first introduced in Mists of Pandaria, and was further developed in Warlords of Draenor. It's a great way to increase the quality of your equipment, allowing you to bypass the monotonous grind of questing and avoiding many wipes in Mythic+ dungeons.
When an item is upgraded the type of item it is going to change. When upgrading a normal item, it will result in an item that is Exceptional and upgrading an item that is Exceptional will result in an Elite version of the base item. The item will keep the stats it had prior to upgrading, and will also receive an additional bonus of its new base type. The bonus will be randomly chosen from the following options: the chance to acquire a weapon with an increased damage range or an enhanced reload speed or a chance to acquire an increased defense roll.
The amount of upgrades you perform will determine the amount of extras you get. Each upgrade will increase the corresponding extras by increments of 1, up to a maximum of three. Each upgrade will also boost the stats in the main menu by +1.
Some upgrades also give you a secondary random boost in addition to stat boosts. These boosts can be quite important and should be considered when deciding which items to upgrade items. Certain of these boosts may only be used in certain builds (such the Whistan's Shield, which is for FB Sorcs), while others are valuable to collectors.
Certain items come with inherent boo, which is not useful when upgraded, for example the Goldwrap which gives more slots for potion. These are often upgraded to add value to a nearly perfect item.
Costs
There are some costs associated with item upgrades. The first is the cost of performing the upgrade. The cost for this upgrade can be costly and depends on the new ilvl of the item and the number of perks it receives. Upgrades to higher levels (such as Explorer to Champion or Veteran to Heroic) are costly.
The other is the cost of the materials needed for an upgrade. These are typically Power Dices (dropped from monsters 21+), Minerals and Erons, or specific Mists of Pandaria or Warlords Of Draenor Quests. These materials can be found in the inventory of an upgrade vendor.
It takes time to upgrade an item. Depending on the size of the upgrade, it can take as long as 8 hours. The upgraded Best Item upgrader's base stats are calculated using the item's new ilvl, perks, and other properties. This calculation determines new Armor Class bonuses, damage dice, and other important statistics. In certain cases the upgrade will provide additional perks that can be selected from a variety of advantages.
In rare instances, the upgrade will replace only the highest-costing perks. The upgrader could also make other modifications to the item, like changing the type of damage it deals to its weapon or removing an operative or unwieldy option. These modifications are based on the item's ilvl and may require special materials, like Adamantine.
Success Rate
Upgrades to items are based on an opportunity, and like any random system, there is an opportunity that the upgrade won't be successful. However there are some things that can increase the chances of success. This includes using an item called an Upgrade Pity, or the addition of extra components to the upgrade.
The Upgrade Pity can be purchased through the NPC for smithing in Lost Ark. It increases the chance of an upgrade's success by a percentage. It is similar to the luck bonus that certain items offer, but is more solid. This can be added to any weapon or armor and can be used three times.
You can also add other materials to the upgrade to increase the chance of success. These are displayed in a window above the + button. There are however limitations to this, and the largest amount of material that can be added is shown just above the + button in the UI.
A Blacksmith Blessing or an upgraded version can be used to boost the chances of a successful upgrade. This item upgrader mod is useful if your weapon or piece is nearing or has reached the top level of its tier. This item will allow you upgrade the equipment to the next tier without risking its breaking.
If an upgrade is unsuccessful it will be restored to its initial state. This is typically an upgrade, but it could also be an upgrade. It is an excellent idea to save an upgrade when you're near the maximum capacity of an item, and use it as a last resort.
There are many items in the Kafra shop that can be used to increase the odds of an upgrade succeeding. You can boost your chances of success by upgrading your equipment several times using HD Oridecon and HD Elunium. Also, increasing the chances to receive a Double Mint from Shoe-Minting a maximum of five times will increase the success rate.
Failure Rate
The item upgrader allows the player to add an additional slot in their equipment. These slots can be used to apply an enhancement or enchantment to an item. It is important to keep in mind that not all items can be upgraded. The rate of upgrade and enchantment depends on the rank of the item. The higher the rank of an item, the more Zeny and items will be needed to upgrade it.
This system is costly especially if you're looking for high-level gear. It can cost upwards of 100,000 z and 100 Carnium to upgrade a weapon or armor. The rate of success decreases as you go up in rank. You can increase the likelihood of upgrading an item making use of cash shop items.
Normal Upgrade is the most basic upgrade that can be carried out on weapons, armor pieces and bicycles. It requires different grades of core depending on the type of item. In general, lower-grade items require lower-cost cores whereas higher grade items require higher-end ones.
You must have the proper number of cores to do an upgrade normally. Once you have them click the button next to the item you want to upgrade. The upgrade window will display an indicator of the percentage of your odds of success. This percentage is determined by the upgrade level and core type of the item you have selected.
You can also select an item that is protected by a safeguard your item in the event of a failure. The cost of this protection may vary but will always be less expensive than the cost of purchasing a new item. The safeguard is only valid one time per upgrade and will not expire until used again.
The interface for the item upgrader can be a little confusing, but not difficult to navigate. The main menu is displayed on the left, and the upgrade window is on the right. The arrows to the left side of the UI represent the different stages of the upgrade process. Click the question mark icon to get help if you are unsure what you're doing. The upgrade process can take as long as five minutes.
