World of Warcraft Item Upgrades

Upgrades to an item are a way to boost the stats of an item. Based on the type of upgrade, it may increase an item's Rarity or Mark Level and boost additional stats.

Upgrades to gear in The War Within requires a set number of Flightstones and Crests, and each item has an upgrade track. Each upgrade increases the cost of the following one by a set amount.

Item Level

The value of an item's basic stats increases as it is upgraded. The value is the sum of all of its leveled up benefits (attack, magic attack and defense). Upgrades can be expensive, depending on the person you hire and what you do. This is due to the sheer number of perks that have to be altered to upgrade item an item.

It is also used as a gating requirement while waiting for dungeons, raids and scenarios. It also serves as a gating requirement while queueing for dungeons, raids and scenarios, and to limit the amount of PvP gear a player can wear (since PvP is capped at an lower level). The average level of the item can be found on the character sheet.

When deciding whether to purchase or sell equipment players can evaluate the level of an item. It's an indicator of the item's damage and its quality. Comparing items in the inventory of a seller can be done using the item's level.

On your PC, you can view the item level by pressing ALT or using the left stick on XB1 or PS4. This will display the item's full description, including ilvl. It is also accessible by hovering an item with the mouse cursor, and then typing /itemlevel into chat.

There are many theories about the method by which the level of an item is calculated. One theory suggests that the item level is determined by a formula that calculates how valuable an item's stats really are. It takes into consideration the fact that various perks have different value and sockets have gems that increase the item's overall value. This process can result in a calculated amount for the item's level, which is usually quite close to Blizzard's real item level.

However, this isn't the only factor that can affect an item's ilvl as the level of the region the item was dropped in could alter the value of its stats, for instance by adding an amount to its haste or crit rating. This means that items that drop at higher levels will have more the ilvl than items from lower level instances.

Item Stats

The stats of an item are a major element in what determines the value of an Best item upgrader for players. The game makes use of them in many ways to encourage players to not limit themselves to one weapon and to encourage them to try out other weapons. The stat modifications of weapons boost base stats. These stat mods are then enhanced by the player's level.

Item upgrades add to that by increasing certain stats of the item. The rarity of an item determines the cost of upgrading. For instance, a grey or white item will only be upgraded once, whereas items with rare tiers will be upgraded several times, at higher costs.

Another method of altering the stats of an item is by affixing it. They are stat boosts that can be added by the player to an item. Affixes can do things like give the item additional damage, or add a unique capability to the item (such as reviving the dead or decreasing the cooldowns), or make the item unique by giving an additional name to the item.

Presently, all affixes are able to be modified by selecting them in the upgrade window and pressing the green button using circles arrows. This will cost a certain amount of gold and other items. They can also be used as upgrade gauges, similar to other rerolling methods.

Players can upgrade an item with specific stats, or reroll the affixes. The possible stat ranges for an item are determined by the item level, but every item is guaranteed to have at minimum one stat within the specified range, unless it is an item that is unique or an item that is a God roll from a boss of a raid.

This is another aspect that can be modified by introducing an option to upgrade the equipment without rerolling the affixes, or selecting which stats to enhance. However, as with the base equipment, this would need to be done on a per-item basis, and the interface for item upgrader comparison will not show all the stats that could be that were gained or lost at the same time.

Item Luck

The Luck stat of a player increases the chance of finding items and the properties that are generated by loot, and the intensity of these properties. It does not, however, directly affect damage or the ability to upgrade items. It provides players with the chance to upgrade their gear earlier in the game. This is especially beneficial in early game runs because players tend to put the scaling of weapons and defenses over raw damage gains.

In addition to influencing item discovery, Luck also increases the chances of being successful when upgrading items using the Blacksmith. This is not to be confused with the Blacksmith's overall upgrade probability which increases with each item level and can be further increased by using an anti-material such as a Scroll of Strength or a Jewel of Blessing.

Armor, shields and weapons can be made or spawn with the Luck property, with an initial value of 40. These items can be augmented by using golden ingots or spined leather (depending on the material they are made of) to increase the value of 40 luck or to increase the luck of the item to 140.

Certain items, such as the weapon with Hollow-infused components can also be outfitted to increase the damage of any ability that causes damage by 5percent. These items are available at the store or constructed using the right ingredients.

Item Failure

Item upgrades are expensive and not every upgrade will be successful. However, there are some cash shop items that allow players to increase their chances of success or even prevent them from losing an item in the event that the upgrade is unsuccessful.

When you upgrade an item, the rate of success is displayed in the Honing UI. The percentage represents the probability of completing the upgrade successfully and can be enhanced by adding Additional Materials or Special Materials. There are limitations to the extent to which the success rates can be improved, and the overall chance of a failed upgrade cannot be greater than 100%..

The Luck of an item can influence the effectiveness of an upgrade. Each item has a base success rate of 25%, and each item with Luck increases the chance of success by 5percent.

The item upgrade overlays are rendered above items in the inventory. This may obscure enchantment effects and other effects. If you wish to disable the upgrade overlays, the config option decoration.renderUpgradeOverlays can be set to False in the Item Upgrader CORE client config.
