9 . What Your Parents Teach You About Item Upgrader
World of Warcraft Item Upgrades
Upgrades to an item are a way to increase the stats of an item. Depending on the upgrade type it could raise an item's Mark level or Rarity, and also boost other stats.
Upgrades to equipment in The War Within requires a certain number of Flightstones and Crests and each item upgrading comes with an upgrade track. Each upgrade increases the cost of the next item by a specified amount.
Item Level
The value of an item's basic stats increases as it is upgraded. This value is the sum of all of an item's upgraded perks (attack magic attack and defense). Upgrading items can be expensive dependent on the upgrader and the type of upgrade you choose to do. This is because of how many perks have to be replaced to allow the item to be upgraded.
It is also used as a gating requirement while queueing for raids, dungeons and scenarios. It can also be used as a gating requirement when queueing for dungeons, scenarios and raids, and to limit the amount of PvP gear that a player can wear (since PvP is restricted to the lower levels). The average item level can be found in the character sheet.
Utilizing the level of an item can help players compare the strength of equipment when deciding to purchase or sell. It's a measure of the item's condition and its quality. The level of an item can be used to compare items when looking at the inventory of a seller.
On your PC, you can see the level of the item upgrading by pressing ALT or using the left stick on XB1 or PS4. This will show the item's full description, including the ilvl. It can also be found by hovering over an item with the mouse cursor and entering /itemlevel into chat.
There are several theories on how the item level calculation is done. One theory is that the item level is a number that comes from a formula that determines the value of an item's stats are worth. It takes into account the fact that different perks have different values and gems in sockets add to the overall value of the item. This can result in an item's ilvl which is calculated and is usually very close to Blizzard's actual level of the item.
This isn't the only thing that affects the value of an Best item upgrader. The level of the area where the item dropped can also change its stats. For example, it could add a level to the item's haste, or crit rating. This means that items that drop at higher levels will have more value than items dropped in lower-level instances.
Item Stats
The stats of an item can determine the fate of an item for players. The game uses a variety of them in various ways to encourage players to use multiple weapons, and also to stop one weapon from being "the most effective." The stat modifications of an weapon increase the base stats. These stat mods are then boosted by the player's level.
Item upgrades add to that by increasing certain stats on the item. The upgrade costs are determined by the rarity of the item. An item that is white or grey for instance, will only be upgraded one time and items with rare tiers can be upgraded several times at higher prices.
Another method of altering the stats on an item is by affixing it. They are stat boosts which can be added by the player to an item. The affixes could be used to give the item additional damage, add a special ability to the item (such as reviving dead or cutting down the cooldowns) or make the item unique by putting an exclusive name to the item.
All affixes can be re-rolled at the moment by selecting them in the upgrade menu pressing the green button. This will cost a certain amount of gold and other items. These can be used as upgrade gauges, as with other methods of rerolling.
In addition to the possibility of rerolling affixes, players may select which of the available stats to keep on an item when it is upgraded. The stat ranges are determined by the item's level. However each item will include at least one stat within that range unless they are an exclusive item or a God Roll from a boss in a raid.
Another thing that could change is the possibility of upgrading equipment without having to reroll affixes, or choose which stats to boost. But as with base equipment, this would have to be carried out on a per-item basis and the interface for comparing items wouldn't show all possible stats that were gained or lost at the same time.
Item Luck
The Luck stat of a player can increase the chance of finding items, the properties that are created by loot and the intensity of these properties. However, it does not directly affect damage or ability to upgrade items. It merely gives the player a chance to upgrade their equipment in earlier waves, and is therefore more beneficial in the early game than later ones because most players value greater weapon scaling and defense over the raw damage gain.
In addition to influencing item discovery, Luck also increases the probability of success when upgrading items using the Blacksmith. This is not to confuse with the Blacksmith's overall upgrade chances, which increase with each item level. It is also possible to be enhanced by using anti-materials such as a Scroll of Strength and a Jewel of Blessing.
Armor, shields and weapons come with the default Luck value of 40. These items can then be upgraded with golden ingots, spined leather, or oak boards (depending on the type of material used) to give +40 Luck or to boost the Luck of an item, up to 140.
Certain items, such as the weapon with Hollow-infused components, can also be equipped to increase the damage dealt by any skill that is able to deal damage by five percent. These items can be purchased in the shop or created using the right ingredients.
Item Failure
Not all upgrades work. Cash shop items can be used to boost the success rate of an upgrade or to stop players from losing their item in the event that it fails.
The success rate of an upgrade is shown in the Honing UI. The percentage is the chances of successfully upgrading that item and it can be increased by adding Additional Materials or Special Materials. There are limits to the extent to which the success rates can be improved and the probability of a failed upgrade cannot be greater than 100%..
The success of an item upgrades is also influenced by the luck of that item. Every item has an overall success rate of 25 percent, and each item with Luck increases this chance by 5%.
The upgrade overlays for items are rendered above the items in the inventory. This can obscure enchantment effects and other effects. If you wish to disable the upgrade overlays, the config option decoration.renderUpgradeOverlays can be set to False in the Item Upgrader CORE client config.
