1. Roomba iRobot i3+ from iRobot EVO
The i3+ EVO and its sibling, the i3 EVO, are identical robots that differ only in that the i3+ has self-emptying features. Both robots are adept at cleaning up surface debris from carpets and hard floors, and they're very adept at maneuvering around furniture and other obstacles. iAdapt navigation software creates smart map of your home to help the i3+ navigate and clean up efficiently. However, unlike the i7+ and other top-best rated robot vacuum robots that we tested, the i3+ doesn't have obstacle-avoidance capabilities which means it can get stuck on things such as power cords or socks, and it can have difficulty in navigating through transitions between surfaces, such as from hardwood to rug.
iRobot recommends clearing areas in which the i3+ EVO will vacuum before you use it, including getting rid of any clutter or toys it may encounter. You should also keep the dustbin and filters clear to avoid becoming clogged. When the i3+ EVO's internal bin is empty or the battery is not fully charged, it returns to the docking station, and it automatically empties the dirt into the station’s external dustbin. Then it continues cleaning where it left off. Battery life is about an hour and a half of constant usage. It takes 3 hours to fully charge.

We were also amazed by the i7+'s compatibility Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant AI services which we used to instruct the robot to start, stop or pause its cleaning sessions, move itself around the room and sweep a specific space. The iRobot Home App made it easy to connect the i7+ to these services. Once connected to these services, we were able use the i7+'s voice commands such as "Hey Alexa, vacuum the master bedroom."
