Path of Exile Item Upgrader kit Upgrades

Upgrades to items are a common and crucial method to enhance the performance of a variety of items in Path of Exile. They can provide extra damage, AD or even affixes.

Rare-grade equipment is often superior to the more modernized Common or Magic gear because of their high requirements.

Armor

Armor upgrades are a type of upgrade that can be used on weapon and armor items. They increase the effectiveness of the item upgrading that they are attached to. Armor upgrades can be found in the world of the game and are available from Blacksmiths on bonfires. Additionally, they can be salvaged from items with upgrade components inside them, with a professional or higher salvage kit.

The level of an armor's or weapon's upgrade determines the amount of damage it can take on. The absorption of damage by an armor piece will increase as it is upgraded to the maximum upgrade level. However, it's important note that this will also increase its weight, which will cause it to be heavier than before.

There are many different kinds of armor upgrade available in the game. Each one has a distinct impact. Some upgrades give armor an extra number of health points while others make it more powerful and lighter. The type of armor upgrade that an item will receive will be indicated by the name of the upgrade, as indicated in the table below.

Some of the upgrades also require magic or a hybrid technology and magic, which are identified by the "Magic" and "Hybrids" entries in the table. Certain upgrades also require fees for use. These are indicated as "Charges" entries in the table. The charges associated with these upgrades are updated daily or never expire, according to the upgrade item.

Iron Ore is the cheapest method to improve your armor. It can be found by exploring and looting small loot chests. Titanium is more expensive, however it is obtainable through smelters in Orgrimmar and Stormwind City. Certain upgrades, like the Reforge and the Hot Potato Books, can only be applied to high-level armor pieces. These upgrades can give players a significant improvements in stats and are worth the cost.

The player should be aware, however, that upgrading a piece up to the max upgrade level will increase its defense values. However, it will also affect the speed and agility of the piece. It is not recommended to upgrade armor above +9. The added defense typically isn't worth the weight and power costs of the upgrades.

Weapons

Weapon upgrades let players increase the effectiveness of certain aspects of an weapon. Upgrades can increase the accuracy of a rifle or the damage that shotgun shells cause. Certain weapons come with special upgrades to improve their inherent capabilities. Frictionless materials (improves stability, and reduces the possibility of overheating) and Kinetic coils (increases the projectile's velocity to cause more damage) are two examples.

The majority of upgrades to weapons require a whetblade, one of three Power Dices and a different amount of Minerals and Erons. They can be gained by completing Side Quests or by killing a certain number of bosses and monsters.

The process of upgrading a weapon, equipment Set piece or Whetblade requires visiting the NPC [Armor] Boboko in Central Flarine and paying her an upgrade fee of a certain number of Bars. The higher the upgrade level, the higher the number of bars required to complete it. If you have multiple upgrade materials The cost of upgrading will be lower.

In Chapter 2: Season 5 the way you upgrade weapon and equipment sets has changed. Prior to Chapter 2: Season 5 you could upgrade your weapon and equipment by paying a specific number of Bars. You could do this until you reach a max upgrade level of the weapon or equipment, after which the upgrades would be reset.

You can still do this however, the process is high on RNG and low on agency. You're better off buying gear that has low upgrade levels and high base scores and stat distributions. They will also have a better chance of bringing you the highest tier perks and blessings.

To increase their level faster, most players will prioritise upgrading their weapons. Players should also upgrade the weapons their teammates use to boost their strength. For instance, Shepard should consider upgrading the M92F to unlock the Beretta M93R, which will increase its utility when paired with biotic specialists like Grunt and Tali.

Jewels

Jewels are placed in the armor's sockets and weapons, enhancing the stats of a weapon and providing additional effects. They can be made through the process of jewelry crafting, in which you combine a gem with a number of specific ingredients at a table for jewelry. The higher the grade of the gem has, the more powerful its secondary effect. These reagents are obtained in the world from Treasure Goblins, World Bosses and occasionally by salvaging Legendary gear. You can also purchase them from The Jeweler for gold and a Scattered Prism.

The quality of a jewel can be improved at the Jeweler, with stages that range from Crude to Royal. The stat boosts can vary according to the tier that the jewel is at when it is inserted into jewelry, weapons, or gear.

The Jeweler can craft all tiers of gems, with the exception of rare and legendary ones that you must be at certain levels to gain. Unlike other upgrade components, jewels can be swapped out by a different identical jewel without destroying it. However it is only possible to replace a jewel in an equipment piece only once.

The use of more jewels in a move will make it feel smoother and is usually done for aesthetic reasons. Apart from improving performance, the diamonds create an area that is stronger than steel, so the repeated friction with pivots doesn't damage them as easily.

In addition to the above upgrades players can also obtain glyphs for their shields and weapons from a Glyphmaster. These are a small perk and can be swapped freely but aren't guaranteed to drop as loot. Glyphs are like jewelry and can be upgraded by the Jeweler in exchange for Scattered Crystals and gold. Glyphs can also be removed and returned to the inventory. Other upgrade components, like aegis and traits, aren't swappable and can only be recovered using an Upgrade Extractor or salvaging them with the Black Lion Salvage Kit or Ascended Salvage Tool.

Trinkets

Trinkets can give your character many small, but valuable benefits. You can find them in the start-up area as rewards for personal stories or loot. They are also available from vendors as well as through the completion of road interactions. They can also be made by jewelers, and found or purchased from the Trading Post.

The first trinket players can unlock is the cloak. It provides a tiny, but useful bonus in movement speed and the ability to escape. The player can then collect necklaces, rings, and amulets, in a similar way similar to how they obtained weapons and armor. Every piece of equipment has an upgrade slot which can be universal or jewel. Universal upgrades offer fewer benefits and can be placed in any kind of equipment however, jewelry cannot be replaced or upgraded and is only compatible with specific types of trinkets.

These trinkets also provide additional bonuses and abilities that are active when the hero is not in combat. This lets the hero be more effective while inactive and may also help fill in the void of a strong team or the absence of any slots from the talent tree which would normally be filled with the hero's ideal stats.

In general trinket upgrades should be prioritized over BiS (Best item upgrader in Slot) items that you aren't likely to replace in the near future. Also, consider items with desirable statistics that aren't as important as the iLevel of the item upgrading that is to be upgraded. This is especially true when you're looking to upgrade several stats on an item upgrading. It is more beneficial to upgrade a single important stat rather than two suboptimal ones.

At the beginning of the game, players who are in the jungle will typically want to upgrade their trinket to a red in the middle and top players typically choose the pink or green ward (depending on the matchup). These choices will have a significant impact on the hero's abilities to control maps.

In addition to the items mentioned above, players will also find other trinkets that form of trophies and rewards throughout the game. They can be earned by completing certain milestones within the story, such as completing a chapter's main quest or killing a certain boss. These achievements can be seen by selecting the appropriate achievement in the reward tab of the hero menu.
