Path of Exile item upgrader mod Upgrades

Item Upgrade upgrades are a common and important way to improve the performance of many items in Path of Exile. They can be a great source of extra damage and more AD or even more affixes.

Rare-grade equipment is often superior to upgraded Common or Magic gear because of their high requirements.

Armor

Armor upgrades can be applied to both armor and weapon items. They increase the effectiveness of the item they are connected to. Upgrades to armor can be found in the world of the game and are available from Blacksmiths on bonfires. They can also be salvaged using a professional or higher salvage kit to recover upgrade components from items.

The level of an armor's or weapon's upgrade determines the amount of damage it will take on. The damage absorption of an armor piece will increase when it's upgraded to the maximum upgrade level. It's important to remember that this will increase the weight of the armor, which means it must be more heavy.

There are a few different kinds of armor upgrades available in the game and they all have different effects. Certain upgrades give armor an extra amount of health points while others make it stronger and lighter. The name of the upgrade will indicate the type of upgrade that an item will be given, as illustrated below.

Certain upgrades require magic or a combination of technology and magic, which is indicated by the "Magic" and "Hybrids" entries in the table. Additionally, some upgrades require a charge to use, which are indicated by an "Charges" entry in the table below. These charges are continuously updated or never expire, depending on the upgrade.

The cheapest method of upgrading armor is to use Iron Ore, which can be gathered by exploring the environment and looting small loot chests. Titanium is more expensive, however it is obtainable from the smelters in Orgrimmar and Stormwind City. Some upgrades, like the Reforge or the Hot Potato Books can only be used on high-level armor pieces. These upgrades can provide a significant boost to stats and are worth the investment, especially for 1-handed weapons.

The player must be aware that upgrading a piece up to the maximum upgrade level will boost its defense. However, it will also affect its agility and speed. It is not recommended to upgrade armor above +9. The defensive boost gained typically isn't worth the weight and power costs of the upgrades.

Weapons

Weapon upgrades allow players to increase the effectiveness of specific aspects of an weapon. For instance, an upgrade may enhance the damage caused by shotgun shells or the accuracy of a rifle sniper. Certain firearms also have enhancements that enhance their intrinsic capabilities. These include Frictionless Materials (improves stability and decreases the chance of overheating of the weapon) and Kinetic Coils (increases the speed of projectiles to cause more damage).

Most weapon upgrades require one of three Power Dices, a different amount of Minerals and Erons and a whetblade for applying. These can be obtained by completing side quests or by killing a certain number of monsters and bosses.

Upgrading a Weapon, Equipment Set piece, or Whetblade requires visiting the NPC [Armor] Boboko in Central Flarine and paying her an upgrade price that is based on a specific number of Bars. The higher the upgrade level, the more bars are required to complete it. If you have multiple upgrade materials the cost of upgrading will be lower.

In Chapter 2: Season 5, the way you upgrade your equipment and weapon sets has changed a bit. Prior to Chapter 2 Season 5, you could upgrade your weapon or equipment by paying a certain amount of Bars. You could continue doing this until you reached a max upgrade level of the weapon or equipment, after which the upgrades would reset.

It's possible, but it depends heavily on RNG. It is better to purchase gear that has low upgrade levels and high base scores and stat distributions. They will also have a chance at gaining you the Best item upgrade tier of bonuses and blessings.

The majority of players will prioritize weapon upgrades for the weapons they use most frequently to make sure they are able to level up quicker. Players should also upgrade the weapons their squadmates utilize to increase their power. For instance, Shepard should consider upgrading the M92F to unlock the Beretta M93R to increase its utility when paired with biotic specialists like Grunt and Tali.

Jewels

Jewels are utilized in the sockets of armor and weapons, enhancing a stat and providing secondary effects. They can be created through a process called jewelry crafting, which is where you combine a gem with a number of specific reagents at a jewelry table. The higher the quality of the gemstone, the better the secondary effect. These reagents can be gotten from Treasure Goblins and World Bosses around the world, or through collecting Legendary Gear. You can also purchase them from The Jeweler for gold and a Scattered Prism.

The quality of a diamond can be improved by the Jeweler, with stages that vary from Crude to Royal. The stat boosts will vary depending on the tier the jewel is in when it's slotted into jewelry, weapons or gear.

The Jeweler can create all tiers of gems, apart from the rare and legendary ones which you must be at a certain level to get. Unlike other upgrade components, jewels can be swapped out with a jewel of the same kind without damaging the original one. However, you can only replace a jewel in an equipment piece only once.

Using more jewels in a move will make it feel smoother, and is often used for aesthetic reasons. In addition to improving performance, the jewels also create an outer layer that is more durable than steel, so the repeated friction from pivots won't cause damage as easily.

A Glyphmaster can provide glyphs to enhance the look of your shields and weapons. These glyphs give a slight boost in power and can be exchanged, however they're not guaranteed to be available as loot. Glyphs, like jewelry, can be upgraded at the Jeweler in exchange for Scattered Crystals and gold. Glyphs can also be removed and returned to the inventory. Other upgrade components like aegis or traits cannot be swapped, and can only be recovered through an upgrade extractor, or salvaging with the Black Lion Salvage Kit or an Ascended Salvage.

Trinkets

Trinkets are small pieces of equipment that bestow many small, but beneficial advantages to your hero. You can find them in the start-up area as loot or as personal story rewards. They are also available from vendors as well as through doing road interaction. They may also be crafted by jewelers, and found or purchased on the Trading Post.

The first trinkets that a player unlocks will be the cloak. It grants a small, but valuable boost in speed of movement and the ability to escape. The player can then collect rings, amulets and necklaces in a similar manner similar to how they obtained weapons and armor. Each piece of equipment has an upgrade slot which can be universal or jewel. Universal upgrades are smaller and can be utilized on any equipment. Jewels are not upgradeable or replaced and are only compatible with certain trinkets.

These trinkets grant additional buffs and abilities that are active when the hero isn't engaged in combat. This lets the hero perform better when they are not active and may also help fill in the void of a strong team or the absence of any slots in the talent tree that normally are filled with hero's ideal stats.

In general, trinket upgrades should prioritize BiS (Best item upgrader in Slot) items that you aren't likely to replace soon. Next, any items with desirable statistics that aren't as important as the iLevel for the item that is to be upgraded. This is especially true when an item has multiple stats you wish to upgrade, as it's often better to upgrade just one important stat than two sub-optimal ones.

Jungle players usually upgrade their yellow trinkets to a red one at the beginning of the game. Top and mid players on the other hand they will select a pink or green ward, based on the matchup. These choices will have a major impact on the hero's ability to control his map.

Apart from the items listed above, players can also find other items in the form of trophies and awards. These can be earned by completing certain milestones in the story, for instance the main quest of a chapter or destroying a boss. You can check them out by clicking on the achievement in the reward section of the hero's menu.
