World of Warcraft Item Upgrades

Upgrades to items can be used to increase the stats of a particular item. Based on the type of upgrade it could increase an item's Mark Level or Rarity and boost additional stats.

Each item comes with a track for upgrading it. Each upgrade increases the cost of the next one by a set amount.

Item Level

When an item is upgraded, its stats improve in value. This is the sum of all of the perks that are leveled up (attack magic attack and defense). Upgrades to items can be costly depending on the upgrader you choose and what kind of upgrade you decide to perform. This is due to the number of perks that need to be modified to upgrade an item.

It can also be used as a gating requirement when queueing for dungeons, raids and scenarios. It can also be used as a gating requirement when waiting for dungeons, scenarios and raids, and to limit the amount of PvP gear a player can wear (since PvP is limited to an lower level). The average level of an item can be found on the character sheet.

The level of an item will allow players to compare the strength of equipment when they decide to buy or sell. It's an excellent indicator of an item upgrader kit's quality and the amount of damage it is able to deal. The level of an item can be used to compare items when examining a vendor's inventory.

The item level can be seen by pressing the ALT key on PC or using the left stick (L3) on XB1 and PS4. This will show the item's full description, including ilvl. It is also accessible by hovering over an item using the mouse cursor, and then entering /itemlevel into chat.

There are several theories about the method by which the level of an item is calculated. One theory is that the level is a number derived from a formula which calculates how much an item's stats are worth. It takes into account the fact that various perks have different value and gems in sockets increase the item's overall value. This process could result in a calculated amount for the item's level, which is usually quite close to Blizzard's actual level of the item.

However, this is not the only factor that determines the ilvl of an item, as the size of the area the item dropped in can alter the value of its stats, for example by adding a level to its crit rating or haste rating. This means that items that drop at higher levels will have higher value than items dropped in lower-level instances.

Item Stats

Stats on an item are a significant part of what determines the value of an item for players. The game uses a variety of them in various ways to encourage players to play with multiple weapons, and prevent one weapon from being "the Best item upgrader." The base stats of a weapon are boosted by the weapon's stat modification that are in turn enhanced by the player's level.

Item upgrades add to that by increasing certain stats of the item. The rarity of an item determines the upgrade cost. A grey or white item for instance, will only be upgraded one time and items with rare tiers can be upgraded multiple times at higher costs.

Affixes can also be used to alter the stats of an item. These are special stat boosts that can be added to an item by the player, and come in a variety of shapes and sizes. The affixes could provide the item additional damage, or add a unique capability to the item (such as reviving dead or cutting down the duration of cooldowns) or make the item unique by putting an additional name to the item.

All affixes are re-rolled at the moment by selecting them in the upgrade menu and pressing the green button. It will cost a set amount in gold and items. These can be used as upgrade gauges similar to other methods of rerolling.

Players can choose to upgrade an item by specific stats or reroll affixes. The range of stats determined by the item's level. However every item will include at least one stat within that range unless they are an item that is unique, or an item that has a God Roll from a boss in a raid.

Another thing that could change is the possibility to upgrade equipment without having to roll the attachments, or pick which stats to boost. Like the base equipment, this must be done per item, and the interface for item comparison would not display all the possible stats at once.

Item Luck

The Luck stat of a player boosts the likelihood of locating items as well as the properties generated by loot, and the strength of these properties. However, it does not directly affect damage or the ability to upgrade items. It provides players with the chance to upgrade their equipment earlier in the game. This is more useful in the early game, since players tend to prioritize defenses and weapon scaling over raw damage gains.

In addition to influencing the discovery of items, Luck also increases the chances of being successful when upgrading items using the Blacksmith. This is not to be confused with the Blacksmith's overall upgrade chance, which increases with each level and can be further increased through the use of an anti-material such as a Scroll of Strength or a Jewel of Blessing.

Weapons, armor, and shields can spawn or be crafted with the Luck property, with an initial value of 40. These items can be enhanced by golden ingots, spined leather, or oak boards (depending on the item's material type) to grant an additional +40 Luck or to boost the Luck of an item up to 140.

Certain items, such as the weapon with Hollow-infused components can also be outfitted to increase the damage of any ability that deals damage by 5percent. These items can be bought from the shop, or they can be made using the correct ingredients.

Item Failure

Upgrades to items can be a costly process and not all upgrades will succeed. However, there are cash shop items that allow players to boost their success rate or prevent themselves from losing an item if the upgrade is unsuccessful.

The success rate of an upgrade can be seen in the Honing UI. The percentage represents the probability of successfully upgrading the item and can be increased by adding Additional Materials or Special Materials. The percentage of success can only be increased so high, and the probability that an upgrade will fail cannot exceed 100%.

The success of an can be affected by the luck of the item. Every item has an overall success rate of 25%, and each item that has Luck increases the chance of success by 5percent.

Note that upgrades to items are rendered above the inventory items, so enchantment glint and other effects could be masked by them. If you wish to disable the upgrade overlays, the config option decoration.renderUpgradeOverlays can be set to False in the Item upgrader (1v34.com) CORE client config.
