World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades increase the value of certain numeric statistics on armor, weapons and rings. Upgrades also increase bonuses such as crit chance and PvE Damage.

If the weapon's upgrade template is %, it will gain an additional 3% of the previous attack damage every time it's upgraded.

The cost of upgrading an item increases as it reaches the current level of the item. The cost increases as the item upgrader mod level rises.

Components

Upgrade components can be added to trinkets, weapons and armor in order to provide them with a boost in stats or add a bonus effect. They can be obtained by crafting, purchasing from vendors trading or looting. Certain upgrades come with special cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can be inserted into any equipment that has a slot to accommodate them. The item must have been at the very least upgraded to blue level for a component to be used. Upgrade components, unlike other modifications, can only be applied only once. They cannot be replaced or applied multiple times. Infusions and Enrichments are type of upgrade component that can be used to upgrade non-amulet legendary or ascending equipment, as in some items that aren't ascended. Infusions and enrichments can be recovered by salvaging gear that is ascended or completing an elite task in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.

An upgrade could include a suffix or prefix, modifying the name of the item to the upgrade (for examplethe 'Canthan Armor Insignia' becomes Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades boost an item's Mark Level or Rarity, which allows players to create stronger versions of that equipment using less Upgrade Crystals than would be required to achieve the same level of upgrade item using normal methods.

A boost upgrade can alter the attack or defence characteristics of a weapon, or armor. These upgrades can be made from the Portative Forging Station once the player completes the cutscene and defeats the Crazed Mechanical. They can also be dropped by enemies while upgrading other gear, or by purchasing them from the cash store for 500 upgrade crystals each.

The player is able to have the maximum of five boost upgrades at a time. Each upgrade increases the probability that a higher-tier version of the item will appear at the time of the next reset. This gives players the opportunity to upgrade their gear even in the event that they don't know what will be improved following the reset.

The process of upgrading an item could be expensive and it's possible that the item will become obsolete, or even break, if the upgrade is unsuccessful. Upgrade Crystals and assist powder are also destroyed when the upgrade fails. This is mitigated by the availability of cash shop items that double or even eliminate possibility of failure, and some upgrades that provide the benefit of being reinserted into an item.

Glyphs

Glyphs are upgrade elements which can be put in special sockets on the Paragon Board. Glyphs can boost the performance of nodes within a radius, which includes any pre-existing attaches. Glyphs are upgraded in a variety of ways, and we suggest getting them to level 15 as soon as you can.

It is commonplace to see in the final game that placing Glyphs is a great method to upgrade your equipment. These are the only upgrade component that can be upgraded to level 15 and provide an enormous boost to your power on the Paragon Board.

Most of the upgrades in the game can be replaced however Glyphs are the one upgrade component that can be removed and put back in place without any restrictions. Only legendary equipment can be salvaged and replaced using a Black Lion Salvage Kit.

Each Glyph has a particular range of values can enhance a stat by. The value is shown when you choose the Glyph in your inventory. You can decide to replace it with a different Glyph with the same rank or higher rank, which will boost the overall value of the glyph.

Glyphs are available in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of an Gem Store bundle or purchase them with certain tools that are unlimited in use and also during Faction Crypt Raids. Each Faction Crypt could drop one of these Glyphs. There are some rare glyphs that you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.

After you have acquired the desired Glyphs you will require them to be put on your gear. Each Glyph unlocks a unique bonus that can boost the stats of a specific set of nodes in the vicinity of the Glyph. It can be +40 for one of your primary stats, or +25 for two of your secondary stats, based on the Glyph.

Glyphs will boost all nodes connected to them, therefore it is best to put Glyphs in the most important spots on the Graph. This will maximize the impact. For instance that a Druid should try to place their Glyphs close to their primary damage points, but also consider placing them near critical damage nodes as well.

Leveling

The system of upgrading items allows players to improve the effectiveness of specific items by putting upgraded components inside them. This is also known as "upping". Each upgradeable item has an amount, which determines its final upgraded stats. Upgraded items may be leveled up to a maximum level of 385. Each level of item upgrade requires various components, and upgrade costs increase with each level.

Some upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient can be obtained by finishing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes are available in the upgrade tab of a crafting table, or obtained from NPCs. Each Upgrade Recipe completed results in a certain amount of Technology points. These points can be used to leveling up an item. When enough points have been earned, you will be eligible to claim the upgrade items and also receive the bonuses.

When an item is upgraded by a player, the base item is replaced with a new item of the same kind. This means that the same armor piece will become a weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item also has its own set bonus. This can be a downside in that the item could be more expensive even if you do not need it.

Item upgrades can sometimes be rerolled if the player has enough reroll tokens in order to do this. The item will be replaced by the same item, but it has a level 1 basis and completely different bonuses. This is a good option for certain items, however it's not something that should be repeated often, as it can waste a lot of resources.

Some upgrades can increase their value, allowing players to customize their gear. Dolphin's Gift is a good example, since it grants an increase in power if the player repeatedly enters or exits the water. This can be upgraded several times, each time increasing the maximum roll by 10 points. This item is extremely useful in PvP battles, since the best version of it could be worth between 20 and 50x its non-upp'd value.

Requirements

The ability to upgrade items allows players to increase the quality of their equippable equipment--armor, weapons, and trinkets that are above ilvl 385 by providing the appropriate currency and items to an NPC who upgrades items. The upgrade of armor set pieces will also increase the base defense of the item, and upgrading weapon equipment will increase the damage base and the strength and dexterity required to match the requirements of the upgraded equipment.

Each item can be upgraded up to five times, except for hero gear that can be upgraded up to eight times. Every time you upgrade an item, it has the chance to fail. The failure rate increases the farther you go beyond the maximum number of upgrades. Failures can cause the item upgrade to return to its original state which means that the player has to purchase more items than if they stopped upgrading after the maximum number.

If an item does not upgrade, the amount of accumulated experience in its growth bar is reset to zero. The item will also lose any bonuses it earned, such as crit chance attack damage, other effects (such as an increase in healing over time or the speed of reloading). However, the player can still continue to use the weapon or armor after the failure.

When an item is upgraded the upgrades are applied in order from lowest to highest. This means that when a weapon is upgraded, if it increases its crit chance that it will be applied prior to any damage from attacks increases. A new attribute called Slots is now added to the definition of the item and the value is recomputed each time an upgrade is applied.

The amount of resources required to upgrade an item are dependent on its rarity score and upgrade slot count. The cost of upgrading equipment that is not premium is equal to its value. For example an item that is commonplace could have five upgrades at a cost. 25,600 Technology Points and a 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero grade items will come with an incredibly lower cost for each upgrade.

Premium items could have different upgrade requirements from normal equipment. For instance they might require fewer sowels, but more minerals and orons. Players will still have to carry each piece of gear they want to upgrade to NPC [Armor] Boboko located in Central Flarine. Each equipment upgrade requires different amounts of the ingredients for upgrading, in addition to the costs that are listed above.
