Path of Exile Best item upgrade Upgrades

Item upgrades are a common and important way to improve the performance of numerous items in Path of Exile. They can be a good source of damage or more AD or even more affixes.

In most cases, however, upgraded Common and Magic gear is outclassed by Rare-grade equipment due to their higher requirements.

Armor

Armor upgrades are a kind of upgrade that can be applied to armor and weapon items. They boost the performance of the item level upgrade they are attached to. Armor upgrades are found in the world of the game and can be purchased from Blacksmiths at any bonfire. Alternatively, they can also be rescued from items with upgrade components within them by with a professional or higher salvage kit.

The level of an armor's or weapon's upgrade determines the amount of damage it can absorb. A piece of armor upgraded to the highest upgrade level will boost its damage absorption. It is important to note that this will increase the weight of the armor, so it must be more heavy.

There are a variety of armor upgrades available in the game. Each one has a distinct impact. For instance, certain upgrades give the armor a certain number of health points while others make it stronger and lighter. The type of armor upgrade that an item upgrader mod can get is indicated by the name of the upgrade as indicated in the table below.

Some upgrades are magical or a combination of magic and technology, which is indicated by a "Magic" or "Hybrid" entry in the table below. Some upgrades also require a charge to use, and are indicated by the "Charges" entry in the table below. These charges are continuously updated or never expire based on the upgrade.

The cheapest method to upgrade armor is with Iron Ore, which can be found by exploring the environment and looting minor loot chests. Titanium is more expensive however, it is available through smelters in Orgrimmar and Stormwind City. Certain upgrades, like the Reforge and the Hot Potato Books, can only be applied to high-level armor pieces. These upgrades can provide a significant improvement in performance and are worth the cost, especially for single-handed weapons.

The player should be aware that upgrading a piece up to the maximum upgrade level will increase its defense value. However, it will also reduce its agility and speed. It is not recommended to upgrade armor beyond +9. The boost in defense typically isn't worth the weight and power cost of the upgrades.

Weapons

Weapon upgrades give players the ability to improve certain aspects of their weapon. For instance, an upgrade may increase the damage dealt by the shells of a shotgun or the accuracy of the sniper rifle. Certain weapons also come with upgrades that improve their innate capabilities. Frictionless materials (improves stability, reduces the risk of the risk of overheating) and Kinetic coils (increases the projectile's velocity for greater damage) are two examples.

The majority of upgrades for weapons require a whetblade, one of three Power Dices and a different amount Minerals and Erons. They can be gained by completing Side Quests or killing a certain amount of monsters and bosses.

Upgrades to a weapon, equipment Set piece or Whetblade requires visiting the NPC [Armor] Boboko in Central Flarine and paying her an upgrade fee of a certain number of Bars. The higher the upgrade level, the higher the number of bars you will need to complete the upgrade. If you have multiple upgrade materials, the cost of upgrading will be lower.

In Chapter 2: Season 5, the method of upgrading your equipment and weapon sets changed a little. Prior to Chapter 2: Season 5, you could upgrade your weapon or equipment by paying a specific amount of Bars. You could do this until the weapon or equipment reached its maximum upgrade level and at that point, the upgrades would be reset.

You can still do this, but the process is high on RNG and low on agency. Instead, you're better off visiting stores and buying gear with low upgrade levels but excellent base scores and stat distributions. These will have a better chance of bringing you the highest tier benefits and blessings.

Most players will want to prioritize upgrades to the weapons they use most frequently to help them level up faster. In addition to these players, they should also consider upgrading the weapons that are most popular with their squadmates to make them more powerful as well. For instance, Shepard should consider upgrading the M92F to unlock the Beretta M93R, which will increase its utility when paired with biotech specialists such as Grunt and Tali.

Jewels

Jewels are used in the sockets of armor and weapons, increasing the power of a character and bringing about secondary effects. They can be made through a process called jewelry crafting, where you combine a gemstone and a number of specific chemicals at a table. The higher the level of the gem is, the greater its secondary effect. These reagents can be obtained around the world through Treasure Goblins, World Bosses and sometimes by salvaging Legendary gear. You can also purchase them from The Jeweler for gold and a Scattered Prism.

The quality of a diamond can be improved at the Jeweler in stages that range from Crude to Royal. Depending on the tier of the gem it can provide different stat boost when slotted into weapons, gear and jewelry.

All levels of jewels are crafted at the Jeweler, with the exception of the rare and legendary jewels that require you to be at a sufficient level to be able to get them. Jewels can be replaced with another jewel without destroying the original. You can only replace the jewel only once in a piece of equipment.

It is typical to use more jewelry to enhance the appearance of. The jewels can also enhance performance and make a harder surface than steel so that repeated friction from pivots do not cause damage to the movement.

A Glyphmaster can offer glyphs to improve the look of your weapons and shields. These glyphs give a slight boost and can be freely traded, but they're not guaranteed to show up as loot. Glyphs can be upgraded as jewelry, by visiting the Jeweler for gold and a scattered Crystal. Glyphs are also removed and returned to the inventory. Other upgrade components such as traits or aegis cannot be exchanged, and can only be retrieved with an Upgrade extractor, or salvaging with the Black Lion Salvage Kit or an Ascended Salvage.

Trinkets

Trinkets are pieces of equipment that provide many tiny but valuable benefits to your hero. They can be obtained in the areas of starting as loot, personal story rewards, from vendors, and by performing road interactions. They can be purchased from the Trading Post, or crafted by jewelers.

The first trinkets that a player unlocks will be the cloak, which grants a small, but valuable boost in speed of movement and the ability to escape. After that, they can purchase amulets, rings and necklaces in a similar manner to the way a player obtains weapons and armor. Every piece of equipment has a slot for an upgrade which can be universal or jewel. Universal upgrades provide smaller bonuses and can be put into any type of equipment, while jewelry cannot be replaced or upgraded and only works with certain kinds of trinkets.

These trinkets can provide additional bonuses and abilities that are active even when the hero isn't engaged in combat. This lets a hero be more efficient when they are not active. It also helps compensate for the lack of a good team or talent tree slots that are normally filled by the hero's Best item upgrader stats.

In general, trinket upgrades should prioritize BiS (Best item upgrade in Slot) items that you will not replace anytime soon. Next, any items with desirable statistics that aren't as significant as the iLevel of the item that is to be upgraded. This is especially true when you're looking to upgrade several statistics on an item. It's more beneficial to upgrade a single important stat rather than two suboptimal ones.

Jungle players usually upgrade their yellow trinkets to a red trinket at the start of the game. Mid and top players, on the other hand will pick a pink or green ward, based on the game's matchup. These choices can affect the ability of a hero to control the map.

In addition to the items listed above, players can also find a number of other trinkets in the game in the form of trophies and awards. These can be earned by completing certain milestones within the story. For instance, finishing a chapter’s main quest or defeating the boss. These can be viewed by selecting the relevant achievement from the reward tab of the hero menu.
