However, they do have a few flaws, however, that prevent them from being our top option. One of them is that the Q5's navigation system doesn't feature AI-powered obstacle avoidance technology, so it's prone to getting hung up on shoes and socks and can't navigate rooms with a lot of people well in our tests. It also doesn't have a camera that would let it see the corners of a room.
Still, it's very good to consider, particularly if you're looking to save money on a Roomba from iRobot, and you have a mostly unfinished home or office. It's also quiet and works while you are at work or at school. The only thing it doesn't have that you don't get in the more expensive iRobot Roomba X30 is edge-to-edge vacuuming of floors with no floor. It's also less effective in mopping. It relies on disposable wet wipes that don't adhere well and aren't able to deal with dried-on debris. The Q5 does come with self-emptying docks, however. If you're required to clean the mopping pad, it can be changed for one that is wet in just a few minutes.

The iRobot Roomba X30 packs impressive mopping and vacuuming into a compact, sleek package. It also supports voice commands through Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. It can clean the floor even after it vacuums. This is something we haven't seen on other robot vacuum/mop combination.
3. Roomba X40 from iRobot
With a sleek circular design that appears like a regular Roomba rather than the boxy units This robot vacuum and mop combo is one of the most attractive designs in our tests. The latest flagship model from iRobot is also among its most advanced. It comes with advanced features, like Enhanced Dirt Detection as well as future compatibility (another company's robot that can wash mop pads autonomously).
It's the only robotic mop or vacuum that has an exemplary 10/10 in our evaluations due to a mix of high-tech sensors that include cameras, a structured lighting system and multiple lasers. The app also provides access to a host of features like seasonal suggestions, custom maps, and advanced settings for your cleaning.
It can also reach corners and under furniture more easily because its shape is more rectangular. It has an impressive 8,000 Pascal suction as well as sophisticated combs that remove pet hair. You can also set up a spot-clean that thoroughly cleans a specific area.
