If you're looking to clean up mess fast, a robot vacuum cleaner and mop is the best way to go. The best robot vacs and mops I've tested come with top-quality mapping and navigation as well as the ability to remove Cheerios as well as tangled wires, and fake dog turds without leaving them behind.
They're also easy to use with an app that lets you plan cleaning tasks and check on how they're working on.
1. Roborock S8 maxV Ultra
The Roborock S8 MaxV is the best robot mop - relevant website, and vacuum combo. It has the latest features. This high-end model is incredibly fast and nimble and can pick up dirt such as human hair and pet hair almost perfectly in our Debris Pickup Test. It also has a smart-looking app interface with a miniature map of your house and a few buttons on the screen to allow manual control.
Another standout feature is the S8's ability to alter its cleaning mode according to dirt levels, thanks to its Dirt Detection Technology. It will clean its mopping pads more often when it encounters dust. Carpeted areas are given the first priority when mopping with mopping pads that are damp.
It comes with a range of other innovative features as well, including a different dock that connects to your home plumbing to wash and clean the mop roller, without having refilling it manually. With the built-in voice assistant of the S8, you can use voice commands to set rooms cleaning options and granular control using only your voice.
2. Yeedi Cube
If you're looking to buy a hands-free robot vacuum that can mop The Yeedi Cube is one of the more versatile choices. It's part of a litany of robot vacuums with mops, but comes at a cheaper price than most of the competition.
Like most robot vacuums, the Yeedi Cube also requires some work to get started. This includes setting up an app account and connecting the device to your WiFi network. Once that's done the robot is able to begin mopping and vacuuming with ease.
It's important to note that the mapping process can take quite a while, and it may take a few times before the Yeedi Cube has an accurate view of your space. Additionally, object detection can be hit or miss and it was able to get around furniture and other obstacles, but was stuck on a looser tassel and had to flip its back to release itself. But these are minor issues and the Yeedi Cube is still a great option for those who want an all-in-one cleaning companion.
3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete
The Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete is a three-in-one home cleaning solution. Its advanced mopping uses the rotation of the motion, which is similar to hand scrubs. This means that floors are cleaned, not just cleaned. Its detachable stick-vacuum is a game-changer that allows you to get into places that a robotic vacuum can't.
This model is essentially identical to the popular X2 Omni, but with a slightly higher suction power of 8700Pa and other smart features. The upgraded RGBD sensor is able to learn your home's surroundings better and provide dynamic obstacle avoidance. The app's smart features allow you to customize a number of settings, including AI cleaning and virtual boundaries.
The X2 Combo also has self-preparation. Both the robot vacuum and mop return to their charging station at the end of each job to clean their pads, empty the dust bins and put the debris in the self-sealing bag. This helps to keep the system clean and also prevents allergens from returning to the system. Its battery life is sufficient to clean large areas without needing a charge mid-clean.
4. Eufy S1 Pro
The Eufy S1 Pro is a top-quality robot hoover vacuum and mop that has impressive features for a reasonable price. It is equipped with a powerful 8,000 Pa suction, a moving floor brush for carpets and an excellent obstacle avoidance. It also has a unique mopping method, which uses a roller continuously filled with water to pick dirt and place it in the dirty water tank.
Its navigation system was efficient. It stayed clear of the stairs and was able to navigate close to walls without falling. However, it did struggle with finely engrained debris and wasn't always able to remove raised thresholds in rooms. The operating noise level is also relatively high, which suggests it could be a less reliable set-and-forget model than some.
The S1 Pro, like most robotic vacuums, has a docking systems that allow it to replenish its clean water tank, empty the dust bin and wash and dry the mop, and empty its mop pad. This makes maintenance simple and lets the S1 Pro spend more time cleaning floors in line with the regular schedule. You can manage all of its functions via the Eufy app. It provides a clear overview and plenty of configurability.
5. Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum/mower is among the top mowers and vacuums available that are available. It offers impressive vacuuming and mopping results. Its LIDAR mapping sensor is able to recognize furniture legs and other obstacles with good accuracy, and the app lets users fine-tune coverage of the map, define no-go zones, and customize cleaning preferences. The Freo's roller brush was specifically designed to prevent hair from wrapping itself around it. This is a major problem with many robotic vacuums.
The Mop Mode also impresses, with Reuleaux triangular mop heads that spin at 180 RPM while applying up to 12N downward pressure. The mopping system is also equipped with smart carpet detection, lifting these pads upward when they're in proximity to soft surfaces to avoid contaminating them.
The docking station acts as a hands-free maintenance centre that automatically washes and dry the mops and refills them with detergent and distillate water. The base station also has integrated dust processing that compacts dust for seven weeks of maintenance-free operation, unlike conventional robot vacuums which empty their dust bins each time they are emptied.
6. S10
This robot is just a few hundred dollars more expensive than the S8 and does an excellent job of keeping my home office clean. It is also able to reach all corners of my tiny apartment. It makes use of laser mapping and a camera to make an outline of your area which allows it to know where to stay away from. In addition, unlike other vacuums that can mop it also has detection of objects and obstructions that avoids things like bowls for dogs and dog toys (but not poop!).
Other great features include a self-emptying dustbin and a mop that is self-washing, adjustable to water temperature and a side-reaching mops that can reach areas that other mops cannot reach. You can also set your own cleaning schedule within the app and adjust the settings for each room in your home.
Similar to the S8, it has multi-room smart mapping, and can differentiate between carpets, laminate and hardwood flooring with high-pile rugs. And, if you want to cut down on time, it can even skip mopping in rooms that aren't filthy. If you have several types of flooring in your home and don't want to spend more money on a Roborock that comes with advanced mapping features this is an excellent option.
7. Q5 Pro
If you're looking for a versatile robot vacuum and mop that can manage regular maintenance and touch-ups for wet messes, this robot cleaner with mop is a great option. It has a range of features such as a self-emptying dustbin, a separate dock to refill water, and adjustable settings through the app. It's surprisingly quiet and is able to easily move around furniture legs or socks. It's not able to pick up the tangled tassels of a rug and its battery drains quicker than other models we've tried.
With a cost of less than $250, the Q5 Pro is a bargain-friendly device that packs powerful suction and handy automation into a slick design. It didn't perform as well as the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra in our tests for vacuuming, but overall it did very well. It has a variety of cleaning modes, ranging from the low-power 'Quiet mode for light debris to the incredibly powerful 'Turbo mode' for carpeted areas. It can even be programmed to automatically remove and replace its mop pads, without getting your carpets wet.
8. K10 Plus
The K10 Plus is an excellent robot vacuum and mop that can be used even in small areas. It is very silent and fast and can maneuver tight spaces with ease. It's also extremely effective at removing pet hair off carpeting.
It's smaller than its rivals, but doesn't sacrifice any features. It has a decent suction capacity and can be programmed to take pictures of each object it finds (i.e. chew toys, socks), and mark them in the app as "not found' to ensure that they are not taken up in subsequent cleanings. Its photos are encrypted and not connected to your account.
It does a great job of vaccuming, but it isn't quite as efficient at mopping. It makes use of disposable wet wipes that you clip onto the bot's bottom, and it basically drags them across your floor. Compare this to the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra or Narwhal that have water reservoirs and will automatically wash and attach their mophead.
