1. Roomba j7+ iRobot from iRobot.
The Roomba j7+ is iRobot's most intelligent robot vacuum to date. Its most notable innovation is its camera-based obstacle-detection system. It uses AI to identify objects such as charging cords and shoes. It's also the first robot to automatically send you a photo of an object it encounters so you can tell it to avoid it in the future.
The Combo J7+ is the best robot mop we've ever tested. It picks up dirt and spills quickly leaving no trace it was there. The iRobot application makes it simple to control. It can schedule cleanings and create Keep Out Zones to ensure it doesn't clean in areas that you don't would like. It's also compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, so you can start and stop it by speaking to it.
The design is also more appealing than the other models. It has a sleek, top piece that looks like a toy rather than the loud and annoying robot. Clean Base's Automatic Dirt Disposal System is also self-emptying which will reduce your cleaning time.
In our tests, we discovered that the j7+ quickly eliminated dirt, dust and hair from pets. The counter-rotating rubber brushes kept the debris in its place instead of scattering it across the floor. It even managed to take small gravel and sand which other robots couldn't do. It did all without getting caught up in our pet's hair.
While it's not quite as sophisticated as the $1,217 Roomba s9+ Self-Emptying Vacuum, and it's not able to clean stairs, the J7+ is an excellent choice for those who need mopping and a vacuum in their home. It's not expensive and the iRobot App makes it easy to use.
The iRobot Home App is easy to use, however we found it less reliable than other robotic cleaner applications. It can take some time to download updates, and it is sometimes difficult to determine if they are working until you see them in action.
2. Roborock Q5+
If you want a robot vacuum cleaner that does more than just clean your floors then a hybrid is the ideal choice. These robots come with a water tank so they can mop and vacuum simultaneously. They also have a range of additional features, such as smart mapping, small obstacles avoidance and even the ability to dry and wash mopping pads. The disadvantage is that they tend to be pricey at full retail, but during Black Friday and Cyber Monday they often drop in price.
Roborock has some of our most loved robot vacuums, and the Q5+ isn't an exception. This is the cheapest model in their auto-empty line. While it may not have some of the more luxurious features (like no-go zones and multi-story memories) however, it's a great choice for those who are willing to make a few compromises to save a few bucks.
The Q5+ is noticeable soft around obstacles like table legs and walls, which makes it an excellent option for homes with a lot of furniture. It's also very thorough when it comes to cleaning dust bunnies, which is an area where cheaper robot vacuums robot often be a bit sloppy. The Q5+'s navigation system is also top-quality, with a few misses along walls or in corners.
The Q5+, just like other Roborock products can be controlled with only a few buttons on your device or through the Roborock App. The app lets you start and stop cleanings. You can also set schedules, create virtual barrier and no-go areas, modify your home map or re-label rooms.
If you opt for the Q5+ model, it comes with a new auto-empty dock that's designed specifically to make this machine easy to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver, but once it's installed it can be done without difficulty. It comes with a huge LCD screen, which is useful for setting up schedules or adjusting settings. This isn't an essential feature for everyone but it can help you keep the track of your robot's maintenance intervals effortlessly.
3. Narwal Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra is a well-rounded robot vacuum and mop that's impressively intelligent in its mopping and vacuuming capabilities. Its design is one of the top in the market however it's quite expensive.
It's a small base station that looks beautiful and is able to be concealed when not in use. But the station's main selling point is how it automates numerous tasks and functions that other robots leave up to you. It stores clean and dirty water, it electrolyzes and heats the water (which many other robots require you to do), empties the dustbin after vacuuming, and ensures that your robot clean and charged.
And its vacuuming is impressive, too. It's the only robovacs that I've tested that does very well at picking up debris on unfinished floors, and it's not nearly as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot 900 series.
The Freo X Ultra is not free of faults, especially when it comes to navigation. Its laser and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable and reliable as other robovacs, which means it is sometimes stuck or confused in certain rooms or corners of the home. It's not able climb stairs as well as competitors, either and it doesn't have an dock that allows the user to set up a dedicated cleaning zone for carpets that are soft.
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is an excellent choice for those who need a robot vac vacuum that does everything.
But if you want to save money, or just don't care about the limitations of this machine there are many other options on the market with a wide range of eufy models priced considerably less. The Eufy Qrevo curv, for instance, is cheaper however it comes with many more features, like the ability to climb stairs and a full-function Dock, that provides a better overall vacuuming experience on plain floors carpets with low pile, and even high-pile carpets.
4. Eufy RoboVac G30
Eufy is an Anker company that has an established track record of making robot vacuums that have the right balance of performance, features, and price. The G30 Hybrid offers a powerful cleaning power for hard and carpet floors, as well as mopping functions for a low cost. It comes with a larger dust bin that does not require as much emptying. It also has border strips that block it from certain areas. The G30 on the other hand, is more affordable and is much more manageable to maintain. Its smaller dust container does not require emptying as often and it has less trouble with bulky material like cereal.
