Its only minor issue is that it tends to smash into walls and other objects at full speed. However, an instant glance at the history of cleaning in the app tells you exactly what it's doing as well as where it's heading and what obstacles it's run into or avoided.

The hinged lid opens up to reveal a 350ml dustbin as well as a 200ml water tank. The water tank is self-emptying and the bin is auto vacuum and mop-filling.

The only issue I have discovered with this model was that its VibraRise mop pad mount is not removable. While you can swap out the mopping cloth (if needed) however, it's a hassle to take off the mount to wash it manually. I've observed that any carpet that the robot touches will be in contact with the rough Velcro like fastener system on the mount, which can cause abrasions.

The S8 Pro Ultra has a number of smart features, including support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. You can configure and manage these using the Roborock app which is also the home of its maps and advanced mopping settings.
