It's still a great option, especially if you want to save money on an Roomba from iRobot and have a mostly unfinished home or office. It's also quiet and works when you're at work or at school. It lacks the edge-to-edge bare floor vacuuming that is available in the more expensive iRobot Roomba X30. It's also less effective at mopping. 3. iRobot Roomba X40
With a sleek, circular design that looks more like a normal Roomba than the competitors' boxy units This robot automatic vacuum and mop and mop combo is among the most appealing looking in our evaluations. The latest flagship model from iRobot is also its smartest. It's also a bit expensive however, not as much as the Ecovacs S8 MaxV Ultra or the Roborock S8 Omni, which are both equally powerful and more attractive. If you're willing to live with a little more noise and some additional cost it's a capable two-in-one that should delight most.
iRobot L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra is the top-of-the line robot mop and vacuum. It has a number of advanced features that will make you forget about your chores. The L20 Ultra is a hands-free cleaning device like Ecovacs top-of-the-line X2 Omni or Roborock's S8 Pro Ultra. It features a multi-functional dock that can automatically emptys the vacuum's bin and fills up the water tank, and washes and dry the mop pads.
The smart robot employs an array of LIDAR and structured light to draw out the floor plan and detect obstacles, and navigates more effectively than some of its premium competitors. It also has a front mounted camera for real-time hazards detection but this wasn't foolproof in our tests and was often confused with obstructions or power cords.
Its vacuum has a high maximum suction of 7,000 Pascals which is more than enough to complete the task. It also has a feature known as "Intelligent Dirt Detection", that regulates the power of the vacuum and adjusts cleaning frequency for various areas of the house based on how dirty the areas tend to be.
If you own a larger home, it is worth selecting a model with a zones or spot cleaning modes. This lets you tell the robot which area of your home needs to be cleaned using the app or voice control. A stair mode can be beneficial if you have number of furniture. For families with busy schedules recharge functions and resume feature that allows your robot automatic vacuum cleaner and mop to pick up where it left off could be very useful.
