The Best Robot Hoover
The best robot vacuum uk hoover can vacuum and mop without needing your attention, and it leaves your floors spotless. Its low cost and high-end features (such as dirt detection) are great features.

1. Roomba Q5 pro
The Q5 Pro, and its more expensive counterpart the Q7 Max Series are among the most powerful robotic vacuums we've test. They feature motors that are top-of-the class and can handle up to 5,500 Pascals. And, like other top iRobot models (including the top pick) they utilize smart mapping technology to create detailed floor plans that avoid home-based obstacles like cords and furniture legs. The robots also have Carpet Boost, a feature that boosts its power when it detects dirt on the carpet.
Both the Q5 and Q7 Max Series get very excellent scores in our bare floor tests, and they're particularly adept in cleaning pet hair. There are some issues, however, that prevent them from being our first option. One of the Q5's shortcomings is that its navigation system doesn't have AI-powered obstacles avoidance. It's therefore prone to get stuck on socks and shoes, and it couldn't navigate rooms with lots of people efficiently during our tests. It also doesn't have a camera to see around corners.
It's still a good deal, especially if your home or office has a lot of bare floors and you're looking to save money. It's also very quiet and you can use it while you're at work or school. The only thing it lacks that you can't find in the pricier iRobot Roomba X30 is edge-to-edge vacuuming of floors with no floor. It's also less effective at mopping, as it relies on disposable wet wipes, which don't stick on for long and don't deal with dried-on debris. The Q5 is self-emptying cradle, however. If you're in need of it clean the mopping pad, it can be swapped for one that is wet in just a few minutes.
2. IRobot Roomba X30
The iRobot Roomba X30 is a compact sleek and stylish vacuum cleaner that can also mop floors. Its smart cleaning maps and fluid navigation make it simple to clean, and effective in tackling larger particles like pet hair. It also has a self-emptying dustbin with powerful suction and support for virtual boundaries. It's the best robot hoover for carpets, but it's not as effective as some rivals in deep cleaning.
This high-performance vacuum and mop uses sensors that help it keep away from obstacles and pet waste. It also learns the layout of your home over time and offer cleaner and more efficient cleaning. The app lets you modify zones and alter the cleaning schedule. Its battery life is average in comparison to other models.
If the X30 Ultra is in a carpeted area, you can tell it to remove and extend its mops. This helps prevent cross-contamination. The flex arm can be utilized to reach under furniture that is low and along baseboards. It's not as effective on the washboard as our other Editors' Choice Picks, the Ecovacs Ozmo N8Pro+ and the iRobot Combo j9+.
In tests, the X30 Ultra was the fastest robot vacuum/mop to complete the entire house with only 66 percent of its battery left. It also did a good job cleaning a range of rooms and floors with mixed flooring types, including certain area rugs. Its obstacle detection was top-notch and it was nimbly avoiding fake dog turds, socks, shoes, and bundles of cables.
It's a bit more expensive than iRobot Combo v9+ or iRobot Roomba j9+ but it has superior suction and an onboard bin that is automatically empty into the base. It also supports voice commands using Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. It can also clean the floor even after it has vacuumed. This is a feature we haven't seen in other robotic vacuum/mop combinations.
3. Roomba X40 from iRobot
With a sleek circular design that appears more like a normal Roomba rather than the compact models, this mop and robot vacuum is one of the most appealing looking in our evaluations. iRobot’s latest flagship model is also among its most advanced. It features advanced features such as Enhanced Dirt Detection as well as future compatibility (another company's robot vacuum uk that can wash mop pads on its own).
It's also the only robotic vacuum/mop that scored a perfect 10 out of 10 in our evaluations. This is thanks to the combination of modern sensors, including a restructured lighting system, a camera, and a variety of lasers. The X40 Ultra is also the only robot in our tests that can completely self-refill and empty its base station and it boasts industry-leading 12,000Pa suction and self-cleaning mop pads.
The X40 as with other iRobot products, is easy to use. It has a simple mobile application interface and is compatible with Amazon Alexa and Apple HomeKit. The only real drawback is that it's loud, which can be an issue if you use it in the morning before work or at night as you attempt to sleep.
It's also quite expensive however, not as much as the Ecovacs MaxV Ultra or the Roborock S8 Omni, which are equally powerful and more attractive. This is a dual-purpose vacuum that's extremely powerful however it's more expensive and produce more noise.
4. iRobot Roomba L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra is the top-of-the best robot mop and automatic vacuum and mop. It has a range of features that are advanced and will make you forget about your chores. Similar to Ecovacs range-topping X2 Omni and Roborock's S8 Pro Ultra, the L20 is designed to be a hands-free cleaning machine that can take charge of both mopping and vacuuming. It comes with a multifunction dock that automatically empties the vacuum's trash bin, refills its water tank, washes and dry the mop pads.
The smart robot utilizes LIDAR and structured lighting to map out floorplans and identify obstacles. It is more efficient in its navigation than its premium competitors. It also comes with a front-mounted camera for real-time detection of hazards but this wasn't 100% reliable in our tests and was sometimes confused with obstructions or power cords.
The vacuum has a suction maximum of 7,000 Pascals, which is more than enough to complete the task. It also comes with an attribute called "Intelligent Dirt Detection", that regulates the power of the automatic vacuum cleaner and adjusts cleaning frequency for various areas of the home based on how dirty those areas are.
For larger homes it's worth looking for a model with zone or spot cleaning modes that allow you to tell the robot to clean one specific area of your home by using the app or voice controls. If you have lots of furniture, a stairway mode is also useful. Finally a recharge and resume feature that lets your robot vacuum continue where it left off is great for busy families.
iRobot RX3
The RX3 is more intelligent than its price suggests. It is a great job vacuuming, picking up 55% of the debris that was found in our tests (it was second only to the Roomba Q5 Pro). It also mops with only one pad and a reciprocating motion which is cleaner than the majority mop cleaners for robots that we've tried. It's also highly self-sufficient, with a full-featured app and a self-emptying base that can be washed.
The iRobot app is designed to help you navigate the mapping process that collects data on your floorplan and any "no go" areas that you've marked on the map. It can be used to create cleaning schedules, or to create a spot-clean. It can also be used to it to prioritize the most soiled areas for better performance. The app comes with a variety of features, such as seasonal suggestions, custom mapping and advanced cleaning settings.
It can also reach corners and under furniture better because its shape is more rectangular. It features a powerful 8,000 Pascal suction, as well as clever combs for removing pet hair. You can also create a spot-clean that scours a specific area.
The Miele Scout RX3 Home Vision HD is a more sleek and less expensive alternative to iRobot Roomba. It's more appealing, Dolce & Gabbana-esque design and its twin cameras resemble cute eyes. It does a great job vacuuming, but it is more likely to be stuck on low thresholds. It is also noisier than other top robot vacuums that we have test. It also comes with an app that's not as intuitive and a small base station that can't double as a bin to empty.
