Item Luck

The Luck stat of a player stacks up to increase the chances of finding items and the properties that are spawned from loot drops, and the intensity of the properties. However, it does not directly affect damage or the ability to upgrade items. It gives the player the chance to upgrade their gear earlier in the game. This is particularly advantageous for early game runs, since players tend to prioritize weapon scaling and defenses above raw damage gains.

Luck can also boost the chance of upgrading items at the Blacksmith. This is not to be confused with the Blacksmith's overall chances of upgrading that increase with each level of the item. These can also be increased with the use of anti-materials, such as the Scroll of Strength and a Jewel of Blessing.

Weapons, armor, and shields can be created or spawned with the Luck property, which has a default value of 40. These items can be enhanced by using golden ingots or spined leather (depending on their material type) for a further +40 luck or to increase the Luck of an item up to 140.

Moreover there are certain items, like the Hollow weapon that is infused with hollow can be outfitted to increase the damage of any damage-dealing skill by 5percent. These items are available in the shop or created by using the appropriate ingredients.

Item Failure

Item upgrades are a costly process and not all upgrades will succeed. Cash shop items can be used to increase the chance of success of an upgrade or to prevent players from losing their item if it is not successful.

The rate of success of an upgrade is shown in the Honing UI. The percentage is the probability of successfully upgrading the item.
