1. iRobot Roomba j7+
The Roomba J7+ is iRobot's most intelligent robot vacuum sale vacuum to date. Its most notable innovation, however, is its camera-based obstacle-detection system. It makes use of AI to identify objects such as charging cords and shoes. It's the first robot to send you pictures of the objects that it encounters, so you can instruct that it is safe to avoid it.
The Combo J7+ is the best robot hoover robot mop we have ever tested. It removes dirt and spills quickly leaving no trace it was there. It's easy to control through the iRobot Home app, which lets you schedule cleaning and set up Keep Out Zones to make sure it doesn't vacuum areas you don't want it to. It's compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can start it and stop it with a voice.
Its design is also a step above the competition with a sleek top piece that appears more like a toy rather than a loud, loud one. And the Clean Base Automated Dirt Disposal System self-empties which is great to speed up cleaning.
In our tests, the j7+ was quick to clean up dust dirt, pet hair and even pet hair. The counter-rotating rubber brushes held the debris in place, rather than scattering it around the floor. It was able to collect sand, small gravel and even a little grit. Most robots can't achieve this feat. It did all this without getting caught in our pet's hair.
While it's not quite as efficient as the $1,217 iRobot Roomba s9+ Auto-Emptying Vacuum, and it's not able to clean stairs The J7+ is an excellent option for those who need a vac and a mop in their home. It's not costly and the iRobot App makes it simple to use.
Although the iRobot Home app is very easy to use, we've found it to be less reliable than other applications that work with robotic cleaners. It can take a while to download updates, and at times it's difficult to know whether the update actually working until you see it in the action.
2. Roborock Q5+
When you're looking for an automated vacuum cleaner that can do more than simply clean floors, the best choice is probably one that is a hybrid. This type of robot typically has a built-in water tank which means they can mop and vacuum your home simultaneously. They also have a range of additional features, such as smart mapping, small obstacle avoidance and even the ability to dry and wash mopping pads. The disadvantage is that they tend to be expensive when purchased at full retail, but on Black Friday and Cyber Monday they usually drop in price.
Roborock is the manufacturer of some of our most loved robotic vacuums (funsilo.date official), and the Q5+ does not fail to impress. It's the cheapest model in their auto-empty line. Although it doesn't have some of the more luxurious features (like no-go zones and multi-story memories) but it's a great choice when you're willing to compromise to save a few bucks.
The Q5+ is noticeable gentle around obstacles such as tables and walls which makes it a good choice for homes with lots of furniture. It's also extremely thorough in cleaning dust bunnies. This is a area where many robot vacuums that are less expensive fall short. The Q5+'s navigation system is superb, with only a few mishaps on walls and corners.
Like other Roborock devices as well, the Q5+ can be controlled with a handful of buttons on the device or via the Roborock app. The app lets you start and stop cleanings. You can also set schedules, create virtual barriers and no-go zones and modify your home map or re-label rooms.
If you decide to go with the Q5+, it comes with a new auto-empty dock, which was specifically designed to make this robot easy to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver but once in place emptying the bin is done without difficulty. It has a large LCD screen that is very useful for setting up schedules or altering settings. This feature isn't required for most people however it can help you to keep the robot's maintenance schedules.
3. Narwal Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a clever well-rounded vacuum and mop. It's capable of both vacuuming and mopping. Its design is among the top in the market, but it's expensive.
Its base station looks good and hides it when not in use, and the size is quite compact. The primary selling point of the station is the fact that it automates a variety of tasks, functions and chores that other robots leave to you. It can store clean and dirty water, electrolyzes and heats the water (which most other robovacs require you to do) and empty the dust bin after vacuuming, and keeps your robot charged and clean.
Its vacuuming performance is also impressive. It's the few robovacs I've tested that do very well at cleaning up debris from bare floors, and it's not nearly as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot the 900 series.
However, the Freo X Ultra has its shortcomings, particularly in terms of navigation. The laser and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable as other robovacs, meaning it can get stuck or confused in certain areas or rooms of your home. It's also unable to climb stairs as well as other models and doesn't come with a dock that can create a cleaning zone for carpets with plush padding.
Although it doesn't have the same amount of cleaning configuration options in its app or as many in-app shortcuts as other robovacs, the Freo X Ultra is still an excellent choice for anyone looking for a comprehensive mop and robot vacuum that's worth the premium price cost.
If you're looking to save some cash or simply don't care about the limitations of this robotic there are many alternatives on the market, including a lot of eufy models that cost substantially less. The eufy Qrevo curv, for instance is less expensive and has many more features, like stair climbing and a full-function Dock, that provides the ability to provide a more thorough vacuuming experience on floors that are unfinished, low-pile carpets and even high-pile carpets.
4. Eufy RoboVac G30
eufy, an Anker company is a long-standing leader of producing robot vacuums that strike a good balance between performance, features and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different, offering a capable cleaning of hard floors as well as mopping functions as well as carpets at a price that is affordable. It's easy to set up, simply snap on one of the side brush, turn it on and plug in your charging dock. The app will guide you through the steps to connect your G30 to your Wi-Fi. The dock should be placed near an outlet with plenty of space to move.
The G30 is a small device that measures 2.85 inches in height, which means it is able to fit under most couches and low-clearance pieces of furniture. Its design is less ostentatious than some rival models, and features a sleek black finish and three physical buttons: Auto Cleaning start/pause, Recharge, and Spot Cleaning (which scrubs a space in an arc for two minutes). You can also connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to do unscheduled cleaning with voice commands.
The way in which the G30 cleans is what differentiates it from its rivals. It makes use of a built-in map to create an image of the immovable objects it encounters and then keeps track of what it has already cleaned and the areas it's not able to access. If it requires a recharge, it automatically returns to its starting point and begins cleaning where it started.
The elegant G30 has its flaws, though. The iRobot Roomba is more durable and has lower monthly costs. It charges faster, has similar battery life and performs better on unfinished carpet or floors with low pile. It also has a larger dust bin that doesn't need to be emptied as often and comes with the boundaries that restrict it from certain areas. The G30 however is less expensive and is much simpler to maintain. Its smaller dust canister doesn't require as frequent emptying and it struggles less with heavy materials such as cereal.
