Both the Q5 and Q7 Max Series get very excellent scores in our floor tests that test for bare floors They're also particularly adept in removing pet hair. There are some issues however, which prevent them from being our first option. One of the flaws of the Q5 is its navigation system does not have AI-powered obstacles avoidance. It's therefore prone to become stuck on socks and shoes and couldn't navigate densely packed rooms very well in our tests. Also, it doesn't have a camera that would let it see the corners of an area.
It's still a great deal, especially if your home or office has a lot of unfinished flooring and you're looking to save some money. It's also very quiet and operates when you're at work or at school. It lacks the edge-to-edge bare floor vacuuming feature that's offered by the more expensive iRobot Roomba X30. It's also less effective in mopping. It relies on disposable wet wipes, which don't stick very well and cannot handle dried-on debris. The Q5 has a self-emptying dock, though. If you want to, you can switch the mopping pad to dry ones in a matter of seconds.
2. iRobot Roomba X30
The iRobot Roomba X30 packs impressive mopping and vacuuming capabilities into a sleek, compact package. It also supports voice commands using Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. It can also clean the floor even after it has vacuumed. This is a feature that we haven't seen on other robot vacuum/mop combination.
3. IRobot Roomba X40
The robot vacuum and mop combination features a sleek, circular look that looks much like a Roomba model than the boxy units of the competition. It's among our most appealing looking robot vacuums. iRobot’s latest flagship model is also the most intelligent. It has advanced features such as Enhanced Dirt Detection as well as future compatibility (another company's robot vacuums best that is able to wash mop pads autonomously).
It's the only robotic vacuum/mop that scored 100% in our evaluations, thanks to a combination of high-tech sensors, including cameras, a structured lighting system and multiple lasers. It's also quite expensive, but it's not as expensive as the Ecovacs X2 Omni or the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra both of which are equally powerful and better-looking. It's a dual-purpose vacuum that's extremely powerful however, it's more expensive and make more noise.

It also comes with a front-mounted camera that can detect hazards in real-time however this was not 100% reliable in our tests and was often confused with obstructions or power cords.
Its vacuum cleaner has the capacity to suction up to 7,000 Pascals which is more than sufficient to accomplish the task. It also comes with "Intelligent Dirt Detection", that regulates the amount of time the vac works and alters the frequency of cleaning for different areas of your home according to the amount of dirt they are.
