The best robot vacuum cleaner and mop Robot Hoover
The Best robot vacuum cleaner UK robot hoover can clean and mop without requiring your attention, and it will leave your floors clean. Its low cost and top-of-the-line functions (such as a dirt detector) are both positives.

1. Roomba Q5 Pro
The Q5 Pro and its sibling the more expensive Q7 Max Series, are among the most powerful robot vacuums we've examined. They have motors that are top-of-the line and can suction up to 5,500 Pascals. Similar to other iRobots that are premium (including the most powerful model) they employ smart mapping to produce precise floorplans and avoid household obstacles like cords and furniture leg. They also come with a feature called carpet boost that increases the robot's power when it detects the presence of dirt on the carpet to get it clean quickly.
The Q5 and Q7 Max Series both scored excellently in our tests of floors with no carpet, and they are particularly adept in cleaning hair from dogs. However, they have a few flaws that keep them from being our top pick. For one, the Q5's navigation system does not include AI-powered obstacle avoidance, so it's prone to become entangled in socks and shoes and couldn't navigate rooms with a lot of people well in our tests. It also doesn't come with cameras that let it see the corners of the room.
It's still a good value particularly if your home or office has a lot of bare flooring and you're looking to save some money. It's also quiet and can be used while you are at work or school. It doesn't have the edge-to-edge floor vacuuming offered in the more expensive iRobot Roomba X30. It's also less effective at mopping. It is dependent on disposable wet wipes that don't adhere well and isn't able to handle dried-on debris. The Q5 is self-emptying cradle however. And, if you have to, you can swap the mopping pad to dry ones in a matter of just a few seconds.
2. iRobot Roomba X30
The iRobot Roomba X30 is a compact, sleek vacuum cleaner that can sweep floors. Its intelligent cleaning maps and quick navigation make it easy to clean and effective in dealing with larger particles, like pet hair. It also comes with self-emptying dustbins with powerful suction and support for virtual boundaries. It's the best robot vacuum that mops robot hoover for carpets, though it's not as effective as some rivals in deep cleaning.
This high-performing mop and vacuum combo utilizes advanced sensors to stay clear of obstacles and pet waste and it learns your home's layout over time for more efficient cleaning. The app allows you to customize zones and change the cleaning schedule. Its battery life is average in comparison to other models.
When the X30 Ultra is in a carpeted area, you can instruct it to remove and extend its mop. This will help prevent cross-contamination. Its flex arm is great to get under furniture with low levels and along baseboards. However, it's not equipped with the same level of washboard performance as our other Editors' Choice picks, the Ecovacs Deebot Ozmo N8 Professional+ and the iRobot Combo j9+.
In the course of testing, X30 Ultra was the fastest robot vacuum/mop to sweep the entire house, with 66 per cent of its battery remaining. It also did an excellent job cleaning a variety of rooms and floors with mixed flooring types, including certain area carpets. Its obstacle detection was top notch and it swiftly eluded fake dog socks, turds, shoes and cables.
It's a little more expensive than iRobot Combo v9+ or iRobot Roomba j9+ but has superior suction and an onboard bin that is automatically empty into the base. It also supports voice commands via Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. It can clean the floor even after it has vacuumed. This is something we haven't seen in other robotic hoovers vacuum/mop combinations.
3. iRobot Roomba X40
With a sleek circular design that appears like a regular Roomba rather than the boxy units, this mop and robot vacuum is one of the most attractive looking models in our reviews. The latest model from iRobot is also its smartest. It comes with advanced features such as Enhanced Dirt Detection as well as future compatibility (another company’s robot that can wash mop pads on its own).
It's also the only robotic vacuum/mop that scored a perfect 10 out of 10 in our tests. This is due to a mix of modern sensors, including a restructured light system, a camera, and a variety of lasers. The X40 Ultra was the only robot we tested that could refill and empty its basestation autonomously. It also boasted an industry-leading suction of 12,000Pa as well as self-cleaning mop mops.
The X40, like other iRobot products, is easy to use. It has an easy mobile application interface and is compatible with Amazon Alexa and Apple HomeKit. The only drawback is that it's still quite a noisy unit that could be a problem if you run it in the morning prior to work or in the evening as you attempt to sleep.
It's also a bit expensive, but not as much as the Ecovacs S8 MaxV Ultra or Roborock S8 Omni, which are equally capable and better looking. This is a two-in-one vacuum that's very capable however it's more expensive and make more noise.
4. iRobot Roomba L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra is the top-of-the line robot vacuum that vacuums and mops mop and vacuum. It comes with a variety of features that are advanced and will help you forget your chores. Like Ecovacs' range-topping X2 Omni and Roborock's S8 Pro Ultra, the L20 is designed to be a hands-free cleaning machine that can take the care of vacuuming and mopping, with a multifunction dock that automatically empties the vacuum's dust bin, fills its water tank, washes and dry the mop pads.
The smart robot employs the combination of LIDAR and structured light to create the floor plan and detect obstacles, making it more efficient than some of its premium rivals. It also has a front mounted camera for real-time detection of hazards but this wasn't completely foolproof in our tests, and was sometimes confused with obstructions or power cords.
The vacuum has a suction capacity of 7,000 Pascals, which is more than enough to complete the task. It also comes with "Intelligent Dirt Detection", which regulates the intensity at which the vacuum works and adjusts the frequency of cleaning for different areas of your home depending on the degree of dirt they tend to be.
If you have a larger home, it is worth selecting a robot that comes with zones or spot cleaning modes. This allows you to instruct the robot on which part of your house needs to be cleaned with the help of an app or voice control. If you have a lot of furniture, a stairway mode is also a good option. For busy families recharge functions and resume feature that allows your robot vacuum to resume where it left off could be very beneficial.
iRobot RX3
The RX3 is a cleaner with more intelligence than you would imagine from its price. It vacuums well, picking up 55% debris in our tests. (It was only second to the Roomba Q5 Pro). It also mops with one pad, which uses a reciprocating motion, which cleans better than most of the other mop cleaners for robots we've examined. It's also extremely self-sufficient, with a full-featured app and a self emptying base that is washable.
The iRobot application is designed to help you navigate the mapping process that collects data on your floorplan as well as any "no go" areas you've marked on the map. It can be used to create cleaning schedules, plan an area for cleaning or to sort out your rooms with the most dirt to ensure better performance. The app also provides access to many features like seasonal suggestions, custom maps and advanced settings for your cleaning.
Its shape is more rectangular than other robot vacuums, which means it can get to corners and under furniture more easily. It also has a powerful 8000 Pascal suction and combs with intelligent technology for hair of pets. And you can create a spot-clean that thoroughly cleans a particular area.
The Miele Scout RX3 Home Vision HD offers a sleeker more affordable alternative to iRobot Roomba. It has a more attractive, Dolce & Gabbana-esque design and its twin cameras resemble cute eyes. It's good at vacuuming but is more prone to get caught on low thresholds and is a bit louder than the other top robotic vacuums we've examined. It also comes with an app that's less intuitive and a small base station that can't double as a bin for emptying.
