Top Black Friday and Cyber Monday Robot Vacuum Deals

Now is your chance to own a robot vacuum. CNET's top models are on sale this Black Friday and Cyber Monday and can save you up to 57%..

The Roborock Q7 Max is a powerful robot vacuum cleaner comparison that has smart mapping and app-based no-go zones. Its 180-minute running time is impressive. It also self-empties itself and automatically refills its water tank.

1. Roomba j7+ from iRobot

The Roomba j7+ is iRobot's smartest robot vacuum to date. Its greatest breakthrough is its camera-based obstacle detection system that utilizes built-in AI to detect objects such as charging cords, shoes and the dreaded pet waste the majority of other robots cannot avoid (and often slough through). It's also the first robot to automatically send you photos of the object it comes across so that you can tell it to stay clear of it in the future.

The Combo j7+ is also the best robot vacuum for the money cheap robot vacuum cleaner to mop we've ever tested, picking up spills and dirt with ease while leaving no trace it was there. The iRobot app makes it easy to control. You can schedule cleanings, and also create Keep Out Zones so that it doesn't clean in areas you don't want. It's compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can start and stop it using voice.

Its design is an improvement over the rest with a sleek top piece that looks more like a toy rather than a loud, loud one. And the Clean Base Automated Dirt Disposal System automatically empty which is great to speed up cleaning.

In our tests the j7+ was quick to pick up and remove dust, dirt and pet hair. The rubber brushes that counter-rotate kept the debris in place rather than scattering it around the floor. It was able to capture small pieces of gravel, sand, and even a bit of grit. Most robots could not accomplish this feat. It did this without getting tangled in our pet's hair.

The j7+, although not as sophisticated as the $1,217 Roomba S9+ Self-Emptying Vacuum from iRobot and cannot clean the stairs, is an option for those who need both mopping and vacuum. It's not expensive, and the iRobot app makes it very user-friendly to use.

The iRobot Home App is easy to use, but we found it less reliable than other robotic cleaner apps. It can take some time to download updates, and often it's difficult to know if the update is actually working until you've seen it in action.

2. Roborock Q5+

If you're looking for an automated vacuum cleaner that can do more than simply clean floors, the best robot floor cleaner option is probably hybrid. These robots come with a water tank, so they can vacuum and mop simultaneously. These bots also come with a variety of extra features, including smart robot vacuums mapping and small object avoidance and the ability to wash and re-dry mopping pads. The downside is that they tend to be pricey at full retail, but during Black Friday and Cyber Monday they often drop in price.

Roborock is one of our favorite robot vacuums and the Q5+ isn't an exception. This is the cheapest model in their auto-empty line. While it may not include some of the expensive features (like no-go zones and multi-story memories), it's still an excellent option for those who are willing to make some compromises to save a few bucks.

The Q5+ is exceptionally soft when it comes to obstacles like tables and walls. This makes it a great choice for homes that have lots of furniture. It's also extremely thorough in cleaning dust bunnies. This is an area that many robot vacuums that are less expensive do not excel in. The Q5+'s navigation is top-quality, with a few misses on walls and corners.

The Q5+, like other Roborock products can be controlled via just a few buttons on the device or via the Roborock App. The app lets you start and stop cleanings. You can also set schedules, design virtual barriers and no-go zones or adjust your home map, or re-label the rooms.

If you opt for the Q5+, it comes with a new auto-empty dock that's specifically designed to make the machine easy to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver, but once in place it can be accomplished without difficulty. It also comes with an impressive LCD display which is great to have when you're setting up schedules or altering settings. This isn't a necessary feature for everyone, but it's one that will help you keep the track of your robot's maintenance intervals with ease.

3. Narwal Freo X Ultra

The Freo X Ultra is a well-rounded robot vacuum and mop that's impressively clever in its vacuuming and mopping capabilities. Its design is one of the best in the industry, but it's expensive.

Its base station looks good and is hidden when it's not in use, and the size is quite compact. But the station's main selling feature is the way it automatizes many tasks and functions that most other robots leave up to you. It can store dirty and clean water and electrolyze and heat the water. Many other robots require this.

Its vacuuming performance is quite impressive, too. It's the only robovac I've tested that does well at picking up the dust from floors with no. It's also not as loud as the more expensive Roomba 900 series or iRobot 980.

However, the Freo X Ultra has its faults, especially when it comes to navigation. The laser and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable as other robovacs, meaning it can get stuck or confused in certain rooms or corners of the house. It can't navigate stairs as well as some competitors, for instance and it doesn't have a dock that allows you to create an exclusive cleaning zone for carpets with plush padding.

Although it doesn't provide as many in terms of cleaning options available in its app, or as many shortcuts within the app as other robovacs, the Freo X Ultra is still an excellent choice for anyone looking for a comprehensive mop and vacuum cleaner that's worth the price price.

But if you want to save some money or don't want to think about the limitations of this machine there are many other great choices available with a wide range of eufy models that cost significantly less. The Eufy Qrevo Curv, for instance is less expensive and provides a similar in-app experience with additional features such as stair climbing, a full-function dock, and better overall vacuuming performance on bare floors as well as high and low-pile carpets.

4. Eufy RoboVac G30

Eufy is an Anker company that has an established track record of making robot vacuums with the right combination of features, performance, and price. The G30 Hybrid offers a powerful cleaning power for hard and carpet flooring, and mopping capabilities for a low cost. It's easy to set up, just attach one of the side brushes, turn it on and connect your charging dock. The app guides you through several steps to connect it to Wi-Fi. After that, the G30 is ready to go. The dock should be placed near an outlet and have plenty of space to move.

The G30 is a compact device, measuring 2.85 inches in height, which means it can be tucked away under couches and pieces of low-clearance furniture. Its design is more subtle compared to some rival models. It has a sleek black finish and three physical buttons for Auto Cleaning start/pause (which scrubs an area in a spiral pattern for two minutes), Recharge, and Spot Cleaner. You can also connect the G30 with Amazon Alexa or Google Home to use voice commands to do unscheduled cleaning.

The way that the G30 cleans is what differentiates it from other models. It uses a built-in map to create an image of non-movable objects that are in its path while retaining what it's cleaned and where it can't access. It will return to the base to recharge, and then begins cleaning where it left off.

The elegant G30 isn't without faults, though. The iRobot Roomba 675 is more built, incurs lower recurring expenses, charges faster and offers similar battery life. It also offers better performance on bare floors and carpets with low pile. It also has a bigger dust bin that doesn't need to be empty as often and comes with an array of boundaries that keep it away from certain areas. The G30 is less expensive and easier to maintain. Its smaller dust container doesn't need emptying as often and it struggles less with heavy materials such as cereal.
