GreenPower Motor Company manufactures a complete range of medium- and heavy-duty electric vehicles, including models with lower and high floors. We were able to test drive the EV9 on an unpaved highway for several hours, and found it easy to drive, and comfortable to drive for long distances. The ride is smooth and Mobility Power smooth over bumps and ruts, and the EV9 does an excellent job of suppressing wind and road noise on the highway. The acceleration is extremely fast and the car has adjustable regenerative braking that allows "one pedal driving" by lifting off of the accelerator.

The EV9 is extremely reliable and can be fully recharged in about three hours at home or with any commercial charger. The driver can choose from two operating modes: scooter green Power eco mode and sport mode. Eco mode focuses on the torque, cruise control and handling, while sport mode increases speed. Both modes are enjoyable to drive and provide an experience unlike any other for those who've never driven an electrical vehicle before.

In addition to the EV9, GreenPower has several other e-vehicle offerings including a multi-purpose electric mini bus called the EV Star. The EV Star is ADA compliant and can be utilized as an executive shuttle, micro-transit or transit vanpool, bus, or paratransit vehicle.

GreenPower is currently producing around 10 EV Star buses per month for the Jacksonville Transit Authority, which is attempting to replace their fleet of diesel vehicles with 100 fully electric vehicles. GreenPower will increase production to meet the needs of the Biden Administration who is planning to electrify all school buses in America. Their EV Star buses are the first of their kind to be Altoona tested and FMVSS certified. They are Buy America compliant, and ADA certified. This makes them eligible for federal transit grants.
