11 Ways To Fully Redesign Your Best Double Buggy
The Best double to single buggy Buggy Strollers
A double buggy is ideal when you are expecting twins or have two children of different age groups. The best ones are simple to maneuver and deal with rough surfaces and kerbs.
These vehicles also come with features like large sun canopies and transparent hoods, as well as adjustable seats.
1. Baby Jogger City Tour Double
The City Tour 2 Double is the smallest double stroller within the Baby Jogger range. It is designed for travel, and fits through standard doors easily due to its slim and compact design. It's also among the lightest double buggies on the market weighing only 14lb when folded. This makes it perfect for traveling with a newborn and a toddler since you won't exceed the allowances for luggage on airlines. It can also be folded into a small travel bag, making it easy to store in the back seat of your car.
The one-handed Z-shape fold is easy, it's incredibly compact twin stroller when you've mastered it. It can take a couple of seconds to unfold. However, our tester found the auto lock to be a bit confusing and as the handlebar isn't locked to its place when you press it, it landed on her legs when she was using it. She also thought the handlebar was on the shorter side. This is particularly true when a large bag for changing hangs from it.
Unlike other lightweight travel buggies it doesn't sacrifice features and is among the most full-featured double strollers on the market. It's compatible with two carry cots (available separately), has multiple recline positions and an UV 50+ canopy. You can add a bassinet on either or both seats to create a travel system.
The four rubber composite tires are great for pavements and urban terrain. However, they are not designed for off-roading. They struggled with long grass and gravel and there was not enough clearance between the wheel bracket and wheel, so mud stuck easily. Our tester loved this vehicle, and it was able to climb some beautiful hillocks that were muddy.
2. iCandy Orange
The iCandy Orange double buggy is the ultimate in style, versatility and quality. It is an essential item for parents who want a chic high-end double stroller with infant car seat buggy that lasts. The Orange has a gorgeous light, sleek chassis with a large basket that can easily fit 2 car seats. It features an elegant, adjustable canopy that is water repellent and ventilated. It comes in trendy colours like Pistachio on the Jet Black Frame, Fossil on a Jet Black Frame, and Rose. The option to add a built-in ride for older siblings is also available.
This 2021 update includes a few enhancements, including improved manoeuvrability, a larger shopping basket, and a revamped bumper bar with leatherette covers. The seats are extremely comfortable and have a sculpted look. They're also adjustable so they can be set to suit siblings' needs. iCandy is the first to introduce a "cinema seating" design that allows parents to maintain eye contact with their children. They can be repositioned to face either the parent or the world.
It's a heavier tandem buggy, but it's very easy to use and steer, particularly on smooth roads. It's stable in double and single mode, and also on sloping ground. It's not as easy to drive on public transportation, however, since it requires more than one hand on the handlebar. It's also heavy and will not fit into the standard car boot with the seat on, however this can be overcome with careful planning. iCandy have included an infant footmuff, a changing bag and car seat adapters included in the price so this is an excellent value for parents who are new.

Its frame is sleek and compact dimensions, making it suitable for narrow streets and shopping malls. Its swivel front wheel and four-wheel suspension allow it to withstand rough or uneven terrain.
This model is also great for families that plan to travel since it can accommodate a car-seat in the back. It has the one-click fold that secures it and is compatible with a variety of Joie infant car seat. It also comes with a large basket and comfortable seats for both kids. The only downside is that the front seat can't recline fully, which may be a problem for young babies. However, it's an excellent choice for families who are seeking a cheap and lightweight stroller.
4. Cybex Gazelle S
This is the stroller you need when you're expecting twins. It's the Cybex first travel system with built-in adaptors that make it easy to convert an individual stroller into a double. The adaptors on the upper end can slide up and down to match your height while the lower ones can be twisted around and rotated making it easy to switch from one configuration to another. The Gazelle's seats also recline into a pretty flat position and have an extended large UV 50+ sun canopy that is essential for little ones.
This is the futuristic multi-purpose stroller that is able to adapt to your family. It is suitable from birth as a mono-pushchair and up to four years old as a double pushchair with the addition of a CLOUD Z iSize car seat or a second-seat unit, or Gazelle Cot. The new one-pull harness makes the process of securing your child an easy and simple process, especially when you're wearing the baby on your back!
Unlike most double strollers, the Gazelle S folds down compactly with both seats firmly attached, so it's easy to fit into storage spaces at home or in your trunk. The large lower basket can hold up to 25 pounds of shopping, daily necessities or groceries and a detachable shopper basket gives you more space for all of your purchases. A one-pull harness, huge recline, and useful features like the shopping basket that can be removed this is a highly versatile and family friendly stroller. It also has puncture-proof wheels so you won't have to worry about sudden flat tubes on your trips away from home.
5. Nipper Double V5
The Nipper Double V5 from Out 'n' About is an updated version of the award-winning all-terrain buggie. It's designed for siblings or twins and has separate reclining seats, compatibility with carrycots and a lightweight frame that allows for easy maneuvering on uneven terrain.
The height adjustable handle and rear wheel suspension provide a comfortable ride for children up to 22kg, and the durable pneumatic tyres easy to clean and provide a smooth ride for jogging. The 360-degree swivel wheel is able to be locked in place to help you maneuver around town. The one-pedal lock brake is also simple to use.
Our testers found that the Nipper Double is incredibly easy to maneuver, even on uneven terrain or turning into the middle of a busy road. The fact that the seats can be reclined independently was a big hit.
They also liked that the hoods were able to be moved forward and back making them easy to adjust in the sun or to provide wind protection. They didn't offer the same coverage as Baby Jogger City Mini Hoods. It's probably worth having an extra rain cover in case.
Overall, our testers were impressed with the Nipper double's capacity to let them take their twin daughters Sydney and Lyla to all sorts of adventures. From exploring the forest for wildlife to rushing to a park for a playdate they were thrilled. They were also impressed by how cozy and spacious the two seats are, with plenty of space for growing toddlers to sprawl out in. Our test participants did not agree, however, that the absence of parent-facing seating and inability to use car seats with the buggy was a disadvantage and they would like to see more storage space to store shopping items and other accessories.
