Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combos
Robot vacuums and mops are becoming more efficient, passing our tests for cleaning and taking on various floor types. Look for models that allow you to choose from multiple modes, use their charging dock to self-empty and clean the stairs.
Many of the top models work with your smartphone. Look for an app that allows you to save maps, schedules and select cleaning modes.
1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro
Eufy's gunmetal-and gloss black Omni S1 Pro is one of the most impressive robot vacuums and mop combinations on the market. It uses lidar to navigate and create maps of floors and rooms (even multiple levels), and works with the free Eufy Clean application that lets you set schedules and customize the S1's behaviour.
The S1 was able to map my downstairs quickly, which comprises linoleum flooring in the kitchen, dining room and bathrooms and also a large rugs and a medium-pile. It was capable of driving up to walls and even over raised thresholds without any problems. However it had some issues navigating down the stairs in one pass. The S1 performed admirably in cleaning hard floors. Its mop drove smoothly on its flat side and lifted itself when it reached carpets or rugs.
Prior to each mopping session the docking station on the S1 automatically emptys its trash bin and refills the water tank with clean filtered ozonated water. The dock also provides an extra-deep cleaning solution to the water. The S1 water tank is able to hold up to 12 cleaning sessions, but it will differ depending on the frequency you use the mop.
The S1 requires periodic maintenance, just like other 2-in-1 robots. You'll need to periodically rinse out the dirty tank to avoid it becoming clogged. It is also necessary to clean your sensor and swivel wheel frequently to avoid them getting clogged up with dust or dirt. But, overall the S1 is simple to maintain, especially compared to other models that require more care.
2. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete
This all-in-one robotic vacuum and mop combo from Ecovacs is a reliable option to meet your cleaning requirements. Its robot vacuum boasts 8,700Pa of suction, and comes with many unique features, including full home mapping, voice control, and smart path-planning to avoid obstructions and cleans furniture. The mops can be dried and cleaned at the base station, if required.
This robot combo is easy to setup and use, and has a clear interface that walks you through the process. It also comes with a hand vacuum that can be used to clean those hard-to reach areas that the robot is unable to reach. There are also two water tanks which are automatically emptied or filled. The Deebot X2 Combo Complete does a good job at vacuuming, with strong suction that effortlessly picks up most debris and even the smaller bits of dust that other robots struggle with. Its navigation capabilities are good, too, even though it is sometimes hung up on the tiny carpets or area mats that I have in my home (which is something you can control by creating a virtual border in the app). The mopping capabilities are quite excellent, too, with a pair of spinning mop heads that actually lift and scrub the floors, as opposed to just dragging the pad over it. The mops can also be cleaned with hot water and dried in the base station when needed. The mops are also refilled from the top of the base station as required.

It's easy to connect it to your home Wi-Fi network and is compatible with Alexa and Apple Siri, making it an even more useful addition to your daily cleaning routine.
The Q5 is a stripped down version of the more expensive models in the S-series from the company, including the flagship Roborock S8 maxV ultra. It uses the same LIDAR mapping sensors, but it is cheaper because it doesn't have mopping capabilities and has plastic body.

Its mops are also impressive with their 2700Pa capacity to combat pet hair and dirt, on both carpets and hard floors. The Q5 is one of the few robots we tested that didn't have any issues with high-pile carpets or area rug, but it was unable to remove kitty litter or cable tangles and cable tangles, which isn't a surprise given that it doesn't have AI-powered obstacle avoidance.
