What Will Item Upgrading Be Like In 100 Years
World of Warcraft - Item Upgrading
The upgrade of an item upgrader mod allows players to increase an item's gear score up to 700 and add an additional perk. Items can be upgraded by keeping them in inventory before heading to the kiln.
Certain items can be upgraded for their unique stats (like an ideally rolled breakpoint armour used in melee PvP) while others like weapons don't change much post upgrade, and therefore aren't worth upgrading.
Weapons
Weapons can be upgraded to improve their numeric stats like the chance to crit, attack damage as well as PvE and PvP damage. Weapons also have a flat bonus which increases the damage they deal per second. Some weapons also come with a fixed bonus that is activated when three or more identical weapons are placed in a group. This bonus could be greater than the damage a weapon upgrade can do on its own.
The cost of upgrading a weapon's capabilities is contingent on the nature of the weapon as well as its current level. For example, an +2 weapon requires two regular Smithing Stones while a+3 requires four. The number of stones required to upgrade a gun will increase until it needs more Smithing Stones. At that point it will reset to one.
Upgraded weapons can also alter their base stats. This is usually a positive thing, but it can also have negative consequences. Upgrades can make items impossible to use, unless you are extremely lucky.
Armor items can be upgraded to improve their performance. For example, if you upgrade chests or helms, this will increase the defense of its base, while gloves and belts enhance their required strength and dexterity. Armor also offers an option to reroll its Enhanced Defense percentage, which means that it could roll back to a lower number.
The upgrade template for a weapon displays the new stats that it will gain upon upgrading in addition to their respective values. This means that a change from a sword with 8 damage to an 11-attack-damage sword will result in the weapon gaining 3% of attack damage. The 3% doesn't mean that the weapon will strike three times less, since it is an absolute number.
Rerolling a weapon can be possible by pressing the green button within the item menu using the circling arrows. This will roll the item and alter its stats, however, it will not reset the weapon's levels or tie it to the account status.
Armor
A few tweaks to your armor can make a huge differences in your capacity to withstand. Certain sets offer massive improvements in the resistance to curses, poison fire, magic, and other. This makes it easier to get through difficult terrains. In general, the greater defense your character is, the more value you will get from every point of health you possess, so it's important to upgrade your armor as much as you can.
You can upgrade your armor by visiting one of the Great Fairy Fountains. There are four Great Fairy Fountains available in the game, and to unlock them all, you have to complete an additional quest that involves the Stable Trotters. After you've completed the main quest, and the corresponding fountains, you'll be able to talk to any Great Fairy in order to unlock the menu for upgrading armor.
Each piece of armor can be upgraded up to three levels, and the amount of materials and Rupees required to complete each level will differ. You'll require anything from three Red Chuchu jelly and 10 Rupees to upgrade your first armor piece, and anywhere between five Rubies or 10 Fire-Breath Horns to upgrade each subsequent one. For example the Champion Leathers can be upgraded to +5 defense, allowing you to keep pace with a large group of enemies in most cold climates and the Snowquill Headdress can be upgraded all the way to +20 defense, giving the protection needed to survive an entire raid with a few of your friends.
You can't upgrade your armor the same as weapons. If you're playing as a Warrior it is best to focus on upgrading your armor for physical strength or spell power. It is also recommended to save your armor upgrades to upgrade the armor you'll still wear by the end of the story, for example the Ring of Lightning, Spectral Shield or the mask you'll wear in the final boss fight the Monter Parts Merchant Mask.
You can also unlock some benefits to your armor by presenting the jeweler in Gerudo Town 10 Twinkling Titanite. Generally, you'll want to save these upgrades for the weapon you'll be using to win the game, like the Longsword, Battleaxe or Warhammer however, it could be beneficial to have a few improvements to the chest armor and helmets to let you stealthy battle certain monsters.
Potions
Potions are liquids that, when consumed by the participant, produce the player with a temporary effect for a short period of time. There are five types of potions, each with a specific set of effects and durations. Certain potions can be upgraded, enhancing their level of effect. Alternatively the effects of some potions can be enhanced by adding redstone or glowstone dust them.
Upgrades to potion require a certain amount of XP. This can be earned by crafting them on a craft table or by storing them in the Alchemist chest. The upgrade items price varies depending on the type of potion and the item's rarity and Mark Level.
To upgrade a potion to the next level, right-click on it in your inventory and select the "Upgrade" option from the menu. This will open a GUI that allows you to choose the potion that you wish to upgrade, and the amount of experience they'll give you when upgraded. You can upgrade potions in batches of up to five at a time, and their XP will be added to the total XP you currently have.
Once a potion is upgraded, it will not degrade until you use it again, or break the bottle it's stored in. Clicking on the potion in your inventory will also allow you to rename it.
There were a few changes to the mechanics of potion in version 1.7.2. For example, splash potions now have an average duration of 0:08 (this is not the same as the 22.5 seconds that are displayed on the item hover display). The potion table is constructed from four Wood Planks, and two Glass. It can be utilized in both Survival and Bedrock. Bedrock Edition potions are not compatible with cauldrons, unlike Java Edition. Similarly, using a potion in a cauldron that is full drains the contents and replenishes the bottle.
Finally, there are lingering potions that are brewed using splash and dragon breath potions. Redstone can also be added to lingering potions to extend their effects. The table of potion ingredients is now laid out more in line with the Java Edition, and new potions were added, such as potion of leaping, decomposition potion, as well as turtle master potions.
Trinkets
A trinket could be an ornament that is small and inexpensive or piece jewelry. It could also refer to an object or decoration that serves a purpose but is not particularly significant such as a trinket. In certain cultures, trinkets are used to signify friendship or affection, especially between family members.
Players can upgrade trinkets in addition to weapons and armor, as well as potions. These can be upgraded by visiting an upgrade vendor and paying the appropriate currency. Unlike other item upgrades, trinkets can be swapped out at will without losing their stats.
The upgrade vendors are found in major cities and the capital of each zone, as well as in some instances in dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets can be purchased with gold, tokens or fragments of a rare trinket.
Upgrades are a cheaper alternative to buying a new trinket. You can upgrade a trinket for as little as 12 tokens. The new trinket will come with the same base ilvl of the older one, and include an additional upgrade bonus of 1.
Once the old Trinkets are no longer useful they can be upgraded. This allows a player to increase their power and value with time. They can be traded between players which makes them a good alternative to gold.
In general players should make upgrades to their most important items first. This means that the most-important slot items for each class are first upgraded, followed by their secondary gear and finally other pieces of equipment they won't be replacing in the near future (such as a ring or an cloak). When deciding which items to upgrade players should also be aware of their class's preferred statistics. For instance when Haste and Crit are the two most important stats for a tank, they should be focusing on upgrading their helm, chest shoulders, belt, and chest.
Trinkets can be upgraded to a higher ilvl after they are no longer useful and the new trinket will have an additional bonus of 1% for upgrading. A re-upgrade, however, will cause the trinket to be destroyed unless it is saved using the help of a Black Lion Salvage Kit, or a higher tier salvage tool. Upgrades to trinkets can be more expensive than other upgrades but still less expensive than purchasing new ones.
