The best automatic vacuum and mop Robot Hoover

The best robot hoover can vacuum and mop without needing your attention. It will leave your floors clean. Its low cost and top-of-the-line functions (such as a dirt detectors) are a plus.

Be sure to inspect your robot's brushes for hair tangled and large debris and clean them as required. Some models can also automatically empty their onboard dust bin into a larger bin at the base, which decreases the amount of fine dust released into the air.

1. Roomba Q5 Pro

The Q5 Pro and its sibling, the more expensive Q7 Max Series, are among the most powerful robot vacuums we've examined. They are equipped with motors that are top-of-the quality and can suction up to 5,500 Pascals. Like other premium iRobots (including the top model) they employ smart mapping to produce precise floorplans that avoid obstacles like cords and furniture legs. They also come with carpet boost, a feature that boosts the robot's performance when it sees the presence of dirt on the carpet to get it clean quickly.

Both the Q5 and Q7 Max Series get very excellent scores in our floor tests that test for bare floors and are particularly effective at cleaning pet hair. However, they have several flaws that prevent them from being our top pick. One of the flaws of the Q5 is its navigation system does not have AI-powered obstacles avoidance. It's thus susceptible to become stuck on shoes and socks, and it couldn't navigate densely packed rooms very well in our tests. It doesn't also come with a camera to look around corners.

It's still a good deal, especially if your office or home has a lot of unfinished floors and you're looking to save some money. It's also very quiet and can be used when you're at work or going to school. The only thing it's missing that you don't get in the pricier iRobot Roomba X30 is edge-to-edge vacuuming on floors that aren't clean. It's also less effective at mopping, relying on disposable wet wipes that don't stay on very well and can't handle dried-on debris. The Q5 does have a self-emptying dock, though. If you want to, you can swap the mopping pad for dry ones in a matter of minutes.

2. IRobot Roomba X30

The iRobot Roomba X30 is a compact sleek and stylish vacuum cleaner that also has the ability to sweep floors. Its quick navigation and smart cleaning maps make it easy to clean and effective at tackling larger particles like pet hair. It also features a self-emptying bin as well as powerful suction, and support for virtual boundaries. It's the best robot hoover for carpets, but it's not as effective as some rivals in deep cleaning.

This high-performing combination vacuum and mop makes use of advanced sensors to stay clear of obstacles and pet waste, and it will learn the layout of your home over time to provide more efficient cleaning. You can modify its cleaning schedule and set up zones using the app that is well-designed. It has a battery lifespan that is comparable to other models.

You can tell the X30 Ultra to remove its mops and to extend them when it's in a carpeted area which prevents cross-contamination. The flex arm is ideal for getting under low-lying furniture and along baseboards. It doesn't offer the same level of washboard performance as our other Editors' Choice picks, the Ecovacs Deebot Ozmo N8 Pro+ and the iRobot Combo j9+.

In tests during testing, the X30 Ultra was the fastest robot cleaner automatic vacuum and mop robot/mop that could complete an entire home, and it did so with the battery at 66 percent left. It did a great cleaning job on a variety of rooms and floors with various flooring types, including certain area carpets. Its obstacle detection was great and it stayed clear of fake dog turds, socks, shoes and bundles cables.

It's more expensive than the iRobot Combo v9+ and iRobot Roomba j9+, however, it comes with superior suction, a built-in dust bin that automatically empties into its base, and supports voice commands using Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. It even cleans the floor after vacuuming, a feature that we've not seen on other robot vacuum/mop combinations.

3. IRobot Roomba X40

With an elegant, circular design that looks more like a normal Roomba rather than the compact models This robot vacuum and mop combo is one of the most appealing looking in our reviews. The latest flagship model from iRobot is also its smartest. It comes with advanced features such as Enhanced Dirt Detection as well as future compatibility (another company's robot that can wash mop pads on its own).

It's the only robotic hoovers mop or vacuum that scored 100% in our evaluations due to a mix of high-tech sensors that include cameras, a structured lighting system, and multiple lasers. The X40 Ultra was the only robot we tested that could refill and empty its basestation on its own. It also boasted a suction of 12,000Pa as well as self-cleaning mops.

The X40 is, like the other iRobot products, is simple to use. It comes with an intuitive mobile application interface and integrates with Amazon Alexa and Apple HomeKit. The only downside is that the X40 still a noisy unit. This could be a problem in mornings before work or during the night when you are trying to fall asleep.

It's also quite expensive, though it's not as pricey as Ecovacs X2 Omni or the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra Both of which are equally powerful and look better. This is a two-in-one vacuum that's very capable however, it's going to cost you more and create more noise.

iRobot L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra is the top-of-the best robot vacuum cleaner and mop robot vacuum and mop. It has a range of advanced features that make you forget about your chores. The L20 Ultra is a hands-free cleaner, similar to Ecovacs' top-of-the-range X2 Omni or Roborock's S8 Pro Ultra. It has a multifunction dock which automatically emptys the vacuum's bin and fills up the water tank, and cleans and drys mop pads.

The smart robot uses LIDAR and structured lighting to create floor plans and detect obstacles. It is more efficient in its navigation than its premium competitors. It also has a front-mounted camera for real-time detection of hazards however, it wasn't reliable in our tests and was often confused by power cords or other obstructions.

Its vacuum has a maximum suction of 7,000 Pascals, which is more than enough to complete the task. It also has an attribute known as "Intelligent Dirt Detection", that regulates the vacuum's power and adjusts the frequency of cleaning for different areas in the home based on how dirty the areas tend to be.

If you own a larger home, it's worth selecting a model with a spot or zone cleaning mode. This lets you instruct the robot on which part of your home must be cleaned using the app or voice command. If you have lots of furniture, a stair-mode is also useful. Finally a recharge and resume feature that allows your robot vacuum to continue where it left off is ideal for busy families.

5. iRobot Roomba RX3

The RX3 is a smarter cleaner than you might think from its price. It does a stellar job vacuuming, picking up 55% of debris in our tests (it was second only to the Roomba Q5 Pro). It also mopses using only one pad and a reciprocating motion which is cleaner than the majority mop cleaners for robots that we've tested. And it's highly self-sufficient with a full-featured app and an auto-emptying, washable base.

The well-designed iRobot application guides you through a mapping run that gathers information about your floorplan and any "no-go" areas you have marked on the map. You can use it to make cleaning schedules, plan an area for cleaning or to prioritise your dirtiest rooms to ensure better performance. The app also grants access to a host of options, including seasonal suggestions, custom maps, and advanced settings for your cleaning.

It also has the ability to reach corners and under furniture more easily because its shape is more rectangular. It also has strong 8000 Pascal suction and combs that are intelligent for hair of pets. You can also organize a spot-cleaner which will thoroughly clean a specific area.

The Miele Scout RX3 Home Vision HD is a sleeker, cheaper alternative to iRobot Roomba. It has a more attractive, Dolce & Gabbana-esque design and its twin cameras look like cute eyes. It does a good job vacuuming, but is more prone to be caught by low thresholds and is a bit more noisy than the other top robotic vacuums we've examined. It also comes with an app that's less intuitive and has a tiny base station that does not double as a bin to empty.
