WoW Upgrades - The Item Level Upgrade Upgrader

Upgrades will give you a boost to specific stats. Each upgrade increases item level by +3. Each upgrade also boosts an unspecified substat.

The upgraded gear is usually more useful, unless the item has low requirements by nature (like FB sorc shields) or has a large variance in stats (like Eth Titan weapons). Upgrades are less valuable for those with lower requirements due to the need to roll the perfect version.

Recycle Points

The upgrader for items allows players to upgrade their gear to a higher level by supplying the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any kind of armor or weapon. The item used to upgrade the item will be consumed and can't be used again. Upgrades can be applied to Enchantments.

The upgrader can be found in every major city, and can be visited anytime to upgrade your equipment. It is recommended that you visit the upgrader at least once every few weeks to keep your equipment up to date.

The cost of upgrades will depend on the current item upgrades level of the equipment being upgraded however, they will always be cheaper than purchasing new equipment from other sources. For instance, upgrading a chest piece from Benthic to 385 levels will cost 20 recycle points, purchasing a similar piece from another player will cost 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are items that can be used to upgrade weapon, armor, tool and accessory upgrades. Players can purchase them through NPCs who sell upgrades to item owners for a variety of currencies. They can also find them on random treasure lists. Once an upgrade is purchased, it can be applied to any weapon or tool with an The button will display the preview of an item's next level of upgrade, in the event that there are enough materials.

The cost of upgrading varies based on the slot of the item and the current level of the item. For instance weapons are more expensive than gloves, bracers or bracers. Each upgrade cost 15 Flightstones and a variety of crests, with some upgrades having a discount to lower the cost of the Flightstones or the crests used. Once an item upgrade has been upgraded to a certain level and is degraded, it can be sold and sold back to the upgrader for a lower amount of both currency types.

Many locations have upgraders for their items in addition to the main island and a few outposts. The NPCs provide an upgrade discount and a chance to obtain a new upgrade recipe. The upgrade discount increases when more items are upgraded. It can be increased by having players finish certain achievements or quests.

Unlike Cromwell in Baldur's Gate II there is no upgrader for items available at the beginning of Icewind Dale. Instead the NPCs that are available to help with upgrades must be acquired through various methods, which is both an improvement but also a drawback.

In Season 3, the upgrade system has been modified a bit, and numerous new features added. Once an upgrade has been completed to a certain level of item for an armor slot upgrading other items to the same item level will cost less. This is true even if the items come from another set of gear.

The discount is available to all accounts. In the same way, the amount of Harbinger Crests needed to upgrade is also reduced and is not available until players reach certain achievement milestones.

Crests

Players have a number of options when it comes to upgrading their equipment in WoW. Flightstones are an option that is accessible to all players for upgrading. Crests are more specialized, and are used during specific item level upgrades. Crests are an integral part of the Dragonflight Gear Progression System introduced in version 10.1. They come in four ranks.

First, you should know that Crests are only available to equipment with a certain rank. Each rank has distinct upgrade paths. The easiest and most straightforward upgrade is 15 crests. The most complicated upgrade can require up to 20 crests, contingent on the type or equipment that is being upgraded.

Players can earn crests through working through tasks at the appropriate level. This could be by doing outdoor activities or taking on dungeons and raids of all difficulties to get lower-tier gear or Mythic+ raid bosses or dungeons that have a high difficulty for gear in the endgame. These crests can then be exchanged at an upgrader NPC, like Cuzolth in Dornogal or Vaskarn in Valdrakken to get the appropriate upgrade pathways and steps.

The new currency system isn't difficult to use, but it will bring some changes to the process of upgrading. When a piece has reached the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer), it is no longer required to purchase Flightstones. This change is intended to allow players to get their equipment to the highest ilvl possible on all their characters, rather than relying solely on seasonal loot.

It's also crucial to choose crests wisely, as they have only one purpose. It is recommended to use your Whelpling-rank crests on the Best item upgrade gear you can find, and save Drake and Wyrm Crests for the next round of upgrades. This is especially true for items such as trinkets and rings that take up several slots. The discount on the account is only applicable when all the slots on the character are filled with high-quality equipment.
