Guide To Item Upgrades: The Intermediate Guide Towards Item Upgrades
Path of Exile item upgrader mod Upgrades
Item upgrades are a common and essential way to boost the performance of many items in Path of Exile. They can cause additional damage, AD or even affixes.
Rare-grade equipment is usually superior to upgraded Common or Magic equipment because of their high requirements.
Armor
Armor upgrades are a type of upgrade that can be applied to weapon and armor items. They improve the effectiveness of the item they are connected to. Armor upgrades can be found in the world of games and purchased from Blacksmiths on bonfires. Alternatively, they can also be rescued from items with upgrade components within them by using a specialist or more powerful salvage kit.
The level of an armor's or weapon's upgrade determines the amount of damage it is able to absorb. The damage absorption of an Best item upgrade of armor will increase as it is upgraded to the maximum upgrade level. It is important to keep in mind that this will increase the weight of the armor, which means it must be more heavy.
There are a few different kinds of armor upgrades that are available in the game and each one has distinct effects. Certain upgrades give armor an additional number of health points while others make it lighter and more powerful. The type of armor upgrade that an item upgrade (Suggested Online site) will receive will be indicated by the name of the upgrade, as indicated in the table below.
Certain upgrades require magic or a combination of technology and magic, which is identified by the "Magic" and "Hybrids" entries in the table. Certain upgrades require charges in order to be used. They are referred to as "Charges" entries in the table. These charges are continuously updated or never expire depending on the upgrade.
The cheapest way to upgrade armor is with Iron Ore, which can be obtained by exploring the environment and looting small loot chests. Titanium is more expensive, but it can be obtained through smelters in Orgrimmar and Stormwind City. Certain upgrades, like the Reforge and the Hot Potato Books, can only be applied to high-level armor pieces. These upgrades can give significant improvement in stats and are a worthwhile cost, especially for single-handed weapons.
The player should be aware that upgrading a piece up to the maximum upgrade level can increase its defense value. However, it will also reduce its agility and speed. It is not recommended to upgrade armor beyond +9. The added defense typically isn't worth the weight and power costs of the upgrades.
Weapons
Weapon upgrades allow players the ability to improve certain aspects of their weapon. For example an upgrade can improve the damage that is caused by shotgun shells or the accuracy of a sniper rifle. Some weapons have special upgrades to improve their inherent capabilities. Frictionless materials (improves stability, minimizes the risk of overheating), and Kinetic coils (increases the projectile's acceleration to cause more damage) are two examples.
The majority of upgrades to weapons require a whetblade. It's one of three Power Dices and a different amount Minerals and Erons. These can be obtained by completing Side Quests or by killing a certain number of bosses and monsters.
Upgrading a Weapon, Equipment Set piece, or Whetblade requires visiting the NPC [Armor] Boboko in Central Flarine and paying her an upgrade price of a set number of Bars. The higher the upgrade level, the more bars you will need to complete the upgrade. The cost of the upgrades will be lower if you have more than one of the relevant upgrade materials.
In Chapter 2: Season 5 the way you upgrade weapon and equipment sets has changed a bit. In the past, you could seek out an Upgrade Bench and pay a set number of Bars to upgrade your weapon or equipment to a higher level of rarity. You could do this until the weapon or equipment reached its maximum upgrade level, at which point the upgrades would be reset.
You can still do this but the process is high on RNG and low on agency. Instead, you're much better off visiting stores and purchasing equipment with low upgrade levels, but excellent base scores and stat distributions. These gears have a higher likelihood of granting you highest level of advantages and benefits.
The majority of players will prioritize weapon upgrades for the weapons they use most frequently to help them level up quicker. Additionally players, they should think about upgrading the weapons that are most popular with their teammates to increase their power and effective. For instance, Shepard should consider upgrading the M92F to unlock the Beretta M93R to make it more useful when paired with biotech specialists such as Grunt and Tali.
Jewels
Jewels are utilized in the sockets of armor and weapons, increasing a stat and providing secondary effects. They can be created through an process known as jewelry crafting, in which you combine a gem with various ingredients at a table for jewelry. The higher the grade of the jewel the better the secondary effect. These reagents can be obtained from Treasure Goblins and World Bosses around the world, or by salvaging Legendary Gear. You can also purchase them from The Jeweler in exchange for gold and Scattered Prisms.
The Jeweler can enhance the quality of gemstones in stages ranging from Crude up to Royal. The stat boosts can vary according to the tier that the jewel is at when it's slotted into jewelry, weapons or other gear.
All tiers of jewels can be crafted at the Jeweler however, there are some exceptions to this, such as the rare and legendary jewels which require you to be at a certain level to be able to get the privilege of having them. Unlike other upgrade components, jewels can be swapped with a jewel of the same type without destroying the original one. However it is only possible to replace one jewel in a piece of equipment once.
Using more jewels in a move will make it feel smoother and is usually performed for aesthetic reasons. The jewels also improve performance and make a harder surface than steel so that repeated friction caused by pivots does not damage them.
A Glyphmaster can provide glyphs that can enhance the appearance of your weapons and shields. These glyphs provide a small boost and can be swapped, but they are not guaranteed to appear as loot. Glyphs, just like jewelry, can be upgraded at the Jeweler in exchange for gold and Scattered Crystals. Glyphs can also be taken out and returned to the inventory. Other upgrade components, such as aegis and traits, aren't swappable and can only be retrieved using an Upgrade Extractor or salvaging them with a Black Lion Salvage Kit or an Ascended Salvage Tool.
Trinkets
Trinkets are small pieces of equipment that offer a wide range of tiny but valuable advantages to your hero. They can be obtained in the areas of starting as loot or personal story rewards from vendors, or by doing road interactions. They can be found on the Trading Post, or crafted by jewelers.
The first trinkets a player is able to unlock is the cloak. It grants an unimportant but beneficial boost to movement speed and evasion. After that, they'll be able to acquire rings, amulets, and necklaces in the same manner to the way a player acquires weapons and armor. Each piece of equipment comes with an upgrade slot that can be either universal or jewel. Universal upgrades provide smaller bonuses and can be used in any type of equipment, while jewelry cannot be replaced or upgraded and is only compatible with specific types of trinkets.
These trinkets also grant additional bonuses and abilities that are active whenever the hero is not fighting. This allows the hero to perform better when they are not active, and can also help make up for a lack of a strong team or any slots in the talent tree that would normally be filled with the hero's ideal statistics.
A good general rule of thumb for trinket upgrades is to prioritize BiS (Best item upgrader-in-Slot) items that you aren't planning to replace soon, followed by any items with desirable stats but less important than the iLevel of the item being upgraded. This is especially true if an item has multiple stats you'd like to upgrade, as it's often more beneficial to upgrade one crucial stat than two subpar ones.
At the beginning of the game junglers will usually want to upgrade their trinket to a red, while top and middle players usually choose either a pink or green ward (depending on the matchup). These choices will have a significant impact on the hero's ability to control his map.
In addition to the items listed above, players will also find other trinkets in the form of rewards and trophies throughout the game. These can be earned through completing certain milestones in the story, for instance finishing a chapter's main quest or killing a certain boss. They can be viewed by selecting the relevant achievement from the reward tab of the hero menu.
