It's not equipped with the edge-to-edge floor vacuuming available in the more expensive iRobot Roomba X30. It's also the only robot vacuum or mop that scored a perfect 10 out of 10 in our testing. This is due to the combination of high-tech sensors, including a structured light system, a camera, and a variety of lasers. The X40 Ultra is also the only robot in our tests that can fully self-refill and empty its base station and it boasts its own self-cleaning mop pads.

The X40, like other iRobot products, is easy to use. It has an easy mobile application interface, and it is compatible with Amazon Alexa and Apple HomeKit. The only drawback is that it's still quite an eerily noisy device which could be an issue if you use it in the morning prior to work, or at night when you attempt to sleep.

It's also a bit expensive however, not as much as the Ecovacs MaxV Ultra or the Roborock S8 Omni, which are equally powerful and more attractive. It's a dual-purpose vacuum that's extremely powerful, but it's going to cost you more and create more noise.

4. iRobot Roomba L20 Ultra
