1. Roomba Q5 pro
The Q5 Pro, and its more expensive counterpart the Q7 Max Series are among the most powerful robotic vacuums that we have test. They are equipped with motors that are top of the class and can handle up to 5,500 Pascals. As with other premium iRobot models (including the top-rated model) they utilize intelligent mapping technology to create precise floor plans and eliminate common obstacles like cords and furniture legs. They also feature a feature called carpet boost that boosts the robot's performance when it spots a lot of dirt on the carpet, allowing it cleaned quickly.
Both the Q5 as well as the Q7 Max Series get very good scores in our floor tests that test for bare floors and are particularly effective at cleaning pet hair. However, they have a few flaws that keep them from being our top pick. One of the flaws of the Q5 is that its navigation system does not feature AI-powered obstacles avoidance. It's therefore prone to get stuck on socks and shoes and couldn't navigate rooms with lots of people efficiently during our tests. It also doesn't come with a camera that would let it see the corners of the room.
It's still a great deal for those whose home or office has a lot of unfinished floors and you're looking to save money. Additionally, it's quiet and you can use it while you're at work, or at school. It's not equipped with the edge-to-edge floor vacuuming offered by the more expensive iRobot Roomba X30. It's also less effective at mopping. It is dependent on disposable wet wipes that don't adhere very well and cannot handle dried-on debris. The Q5 does come with an auto-emptying dock, however. And, if you need to, you can switch the mopping pad to a dry one in minutes.

It also did a great job cleaning a range of floors and rooms that had mixed flooring types, including some area rugs. Its obstacle detection was great, and it avoided fake dog turds and socks, shoes and bundles of cables.
It's a bit more expensive than iRobot Combo v9+ or iRobot Roomba j9+ but it has superior suction and an onboard bin that automatically empties into the base. It also supports voice commands using Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. It can clean the floor even after it has vacuumed. This is a feature we haven't seen in other robot vacuum/mop combination.
