It is also possible to connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home for voice commands to perform routine cleaning tasks that are not scheduled.

The main characteristic that sets the G30 above the rest is the method it cleans. It makes use of a built-in map to create an image of immovable objects it encounters and then keeps track of what it has already cleaned and the areas it's not able to access. When it's time to recharge, it will automatically return to its base, and then resumes cleaning where it left off.

The elegant G30 isn't without its faults however. The iRobot Roomba is built better and has lower monthly costs. It charges faster, offers a similar battery life, and performs better on unfinished flooring or carpet with a low pile. It also comes with a larger dust bin that doesn't need to be emptied as often and comes with an array of boundaries that restrict it from certain areas.
