If you've ever wanted to purchase a robot vacuum, now's your chance. CNET's top-rated models will be on sale for Black Friday and Cyber Monday with discounts as high as 57%.

The Roborock Q7 Max offers strong pressure and smart mapping, with app-based no-go zones, and its 180-minute runtime is impressive. It also self-empties and automatically refills its water tank.

1. Roomba j7+ from iRobot

The Roomba J7+ is iRobot's smartest robot vacuum to date. Its biggest advancement, however, is its camera-based obstacle-detection technology. It makes use of AI to recognize objects like charging cords and shoes. It's the first robot to send you images of objects that it encounters, so you can tell the robot to avoid it.

The Combo j7+ is also the most effective mop-bot we've ever tested, picking up dirt and spills with ease without leaving any trace that was there. The iRobot app makes it easy to control. You can schedule cleanings and create Keep Out Zones to ensure that it doesn't sweep in areas you don't wish to. It's compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can start it and stop it by voice.

Its design is superior to the rest with a sleek top piece that appears more like a toy rather than a loud, loud one. And the Clean Base Automated Dirt Disposal System is self-emptying which is great for reducing your cleanup time.

In our tests, the j7+ was quick to pick up and remove dust dirt, pet hair and other particles. The counter-rotating rubber brushes held the debris in place rather than scattering it around the floor. It was able to capture small pieces of gravel, sand, and even a tiny bit of grit. Most robots could not accomplish this feat. And it did all of this without getting caught in our pet's hair shedding.

The j7+, while not as sophisticated as the Roomba S9, which costs $1,217and Self-Emptying Vacuum Robot from iRobot, and it can't clean the stairs, it's an excellent choice for those who need both mopping and a vacuum. It's not expensive, and the IRobot app makes it user-friendly to use.

While the iRobot Home app is very user-friendly however we've found it be less reliable than other applications that utilize robotic vacuum cleaner commercial cleaners. It can take some time to download updates, and it can be difficult to tell if they are working until you see them in action.

2. Roborock Q5+

If you are looking for a robot vacuum cleaner that does more than simply clean your floors A hybrid is the ideal choice. This type of robot typically comes with a built-in tank for water, meaning they can both vacuum and mop your home simultaneously. They also have a number of additional features, such as smart mapping, small obstacles avoidance, and the ability to dry and wash mopping pads. The downside is that they tend to be expensive when purchased at full retail price, but on Black Friday and Cyber Monday they often drop in price.

Roborock is one of our most loved robot vacuums, and the Q5+ is no exception. It's their cheapest auto-empty model, and although it doesn't have certain features you'll find on higher-end models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's still a great choice if you're willing to sacrifice a little to save a few hundred dollars.

The Q5+ is exceptionally soft when it comes to obstacles like tables and walls. This makes it an excellent option for homes with a lot of furniture. It's also extremely thorough in removing dust bunnies. This is an area that many cheaper robot vacuum cleaner best vacuums do not excel in. The navigation technology in the Q5+ is excellent too, with very little missing in corners and on walls.

The Q5+, as with other Roborock products, can be controlled by a few buttons on the device or via the Roborock App. The app lets you start and stop cleanings. You can also set schedules, create virtual barrier and no-go areas and alter your home map, or change the room's label.

If you choose the Q5+ it comes with a brand new auto emptying dock that is designed to make the robot easier to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver but once it's installed emptying the bin is done without difficulty. It has a large LCD screen, which is useful for setting up schedules or altering settings. This isn't an essential feature for most people, but it's one that can aid in keeping track of the maintenance intervals for your robot easily.

3. Narwal Freo X Ultra

The Freo X Ultra is a well-rounded robot vacuum and mop that's impressively smart robot vacuums in both its mopping and vacuuming capabilities. Its design is one of the best in the industry however it's quite expensive.

Its base station looks good and hides it when not in use, and its dimensions are quite small. The primary selling point of the station is that it can automate many tasks, functions, and chores that other robots leave to you. It can store clean and dirty water, and then electrolyze and heat the water. The majority of other robots require this.

Its vacuuming capabilities are impressive, too. It's one of the few robot vacuums I've tried that does a really good job of collecting debris from plain floors, and is not nearly as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot 900 series.

The Freo X Ultra is not free of faults, especially when it comes navigation. Its LiDAR sensors and laser sensors aren’t as reliable as other robotvacs. This means it is prone to getting stuck or confused in certain corners or rooms in the home. It's also unable to climb stairs as well as other competitors and doesn't come with a dock that can create a clean zone for carpets with plush padding.

Although it doesn't have as many in terms of cleaning robots for home options available in its app, or as many in-app shortcuts like other robovacs the Freo X Ultra is still an excellent choice for anyone looking for an all-around great robot vacuum and mop that's worth the price price.

If you're looking for a way to save money or aren't concerned about the limitations of the robot, there are plenty of other options on the market. Many eufy models cost considerably less. The eufy Qrevo Curv, for example is less expensive and offers the same experience in the app, but with more features, including stairs, a fully-function dock, and a better overall vacuuming performance on bare floors and low and high-pile carpets.

4. eufy RoboVac G30

Eufy, an Anker company, has a track record of producing robot vacuums that strike the perfect balance between features, performance and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different and offers a powerful cleaning on hard floors and mopping functions as well as carpets at a price that is affordable. It's easy to set up, simply connect one of the side brush, turn it on and connect your charging dock. The app walks you through several steps to connect it to Wi-Fi and then the G30 is ready to go. It is recommended to keep the dock near an outlet for power and enough space for it to move around however.

The G30 is a small device, measuring 2.85 inches in height, so it can fit under most couches and low-clearance pieces of furniture. Its design is a little less flashy than some of the rival models, with a sleek black finish and three buttons that are physical that control Auto Cleaning, which can be paused or started. Recharge and Spot Cleaning (which cleans the area in a spiral pattern for two minutes). It is also possible to connect the G30 with Amazon Alexa or Google Home for voice commands to perform routine cleaning tasks that are not scheduled.

The primary characteristic that makes the G30 apart from its competitors is the way it cleans. It uses an integrated map to create a picture of the immovable items in its path. It can remember what it has already cleaned and the areas it was unable to access. When it's time to recharge, it returns to its base and resumes cleaning where it left off.

The elegant G30 isn't without faults, though. The iRobot Roomba is more durable and has lower cost of operation. It charges faster, has a similar battery life, and performs better on bare floors or low-pile carpet. It also has a larger dust bin that doesn't have to be empty as often and comes with an array of boundaries to keep it away from certain areas. The G30 is, on the other hand, is more affordable and much easier to maintain. Its smaller canister means it doesn't need to be emptied as frequently and it's less difficulty handling bulky products like cereal.
