Upgrade components

In Guild Wars 2, an upgrade of an item upgrader kit can be a method to increase the stats of your weapons and armor. This is the highest value that a glyph could enhance a stat by and not the amount it will actually increase it by. The value of the glyph is contingent on the tier as well as the quality of the item you are enchanting.

Most upgrade components inserted into items can't be repaired or replaced without dismantling the equipment in question, unless it is legendary equipment and upgrades. If you have a rune or glyph you do not want to use, but it hasn't been applied to gear yet, you can move the item to a different piece by selecting the Upgrade Glyphs menu on the Glyphs Panel. The developers do not plan to offer paid rerolls in this stage of the game's development. Instead, they're planning to include an ability to change races in the near future.

Leveling

There are many ways to increase the level of an item upgrade. The first way to level up an upgrade to an item is by increasing the amount of upgrade. This boosts the value of upgrading the stat.
