Item Upgrading: What Nobody Is Talking About

Upgrades can boost the value of certain numeric stats on armor, weapons and rings. They also boost extra bonuses such as PvE damage and crit chance.

If the weapon's upgrade template is in %, the weapon will increase 3percent of its previous damage for every time it is upgraded.

The cost of upgrading an item increases as it reaches the current level of the item. The cost increases as the item's level increases.

Components

Upgrade components are items that can be inserted into armor, weapons, and trinkets to give a stat bonus or extra impact while they're being used. These can be obtained through crafting, purchasing from vendors trading or looting. Certain upgrades have unique cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can be placed in equipment that has a slot for them; the item must have been at least upgraded to the blue level in order for the component to be used. Upgrade components, unlike other mods can only be applied once. They cannot be replaced or applied multiple times. Infusions and Enrichments are a type of upgrade component used to upgrade non-amulet legendary and Ascended equipment, as well as some non-ascended items. Infusions and enrichments can be recovered by salvaging gear that is ascended or completing an elite task in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.

A suffix or prefix can be added to an upgrade, changing the name of the item it's used on (for instance, 'Canthan Armor Insignia,' is changed to Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades boost the Mark Level or Rarity, allowing players to create stronger versions of the equipment that require less Upgrade Crystals than would be required to achieve the same level of upgrade using normal methods.

A 'boost' upgrade can alter the attack or defence attributes of a weapon, or armor. After the player has completed the cutscene and defeated the Crazed Mechanist, these upgrades can be created at the Portative Forging Station. They can be dropped by enemies when upgrading other gear or purchasing them in the cash shop for 500 upgrade crystals.

Each upgrade increases the likelihood that a better-quality version of an item will be revealed during the next reset. This gives the player some incentive to keep upgrading their gear even if they're uncertain of the extent to which it will improve after a future reset.

The process of upgrading an item can be costly, and it is possible that the item will eventually become obsolete or even break if the upgrade is unsuccessful. Upgrade Crystals and assist powder are also destroyed if the upgrade fails. Cash shop items can be used to reduce or eliminate the chance of failure. Some upgrades also give an additional bonus when reinserted.

Glyphs

Glyphs can be used to enhance the Paragon Board by placing them in special sockets. Glyphs increase the power of nodes within a radius, and include any pre-existing attaches. Glyphs can be upgraded various ways, and we suggest getting them up to level 15 as soon as you can.

It is commonplace to see in the endgame that putting Glyphs is the Best item upgrader way to upgrade your gear. They are the only upgrade components that can be upgraded to level 15 and give significant boosts to your power on the Paragon Board.

Glyphs, the only upgrade component which can be removed without restriction and then replaced with no restrictions, are the most common. The only exception is legendary equipment that requires an Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and re-place.

The value of each Glyph is displayed when you choose it in your inventory. You can replace it with a Glyph that is of the same or higher rank to increase the value of the Glyph.

Glyphs can be found in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of an Gem Store bundle or purchase them with certain tools that are unlimited in use and also during Faction Crypt Raids. Each Faction Crypt has the possibility of dropping one of the various Glyphs and there are also a few rare glyphs to be found as drops from any of the four Faction Crypts.

Once you have obtained the desired Glyphs you'll require them to be put on your equipment. Each Glyph will unlock a unique bonus that will boost the stats of a specific set of nodes that are within a radius of the Glyph. Leveling

The upgrade system of items allows players to increase the effectiveness of certain items by introducing upgraded components. This is referred to as "upping". Each upgradeable item has a level which determines the final stats. Upgraded items can be upgraded until they reach a maximum level of 385 ilvl. Each level of item requires various components, and the cost of upgrading increase with each level.

Certain upgrades require a certain ingredient to activate. This ingredient is obtained by completing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes are available in the upgrade tab of a crafting table, or bought from NPCs. Each Upgrade Recipe that is completed will result in a certain amount of Technology points. These points can be used to upgrade the item upgrade, and once enough points have been earned, the upgrade items will be claimed and its additional bonuses will be added to the item.

When the player improves an item it will be replaced with the new item. This means that the same armor piece will become a weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item also comes with its own set of bonuses. This could be a problem, as it can cause the item to become more expensive if you do not need it.

If the player has enough tokens, they can roll item upgrades. The item will be replaced by the same item, but it has a level 1 basis and completely different bonuses. This is a good option for some items, but it shouldn't be done regularly, as it can waste lots of resources.

Certain upgrades can boost their value and allow players to personalize their gear. An excellent example is Dolphin's Gift, which gives a buff when the player repeatedly enters and leaves the water (or does not swim as a dolphin). The rate of failure increases as you go over the maximum number. Failures will cause the item to return to its original state and the player having to purchase more materials than if they had stopped upgrading after the maximum amount.

If an item does not upgrade the amount of experience in its growth bar is reset to zero. The item will also lose any bonuses it earned, such as crit chance, attack damage, or other effects (such as an increase in healing over time or the speed of reloading). The player can continue to use their weapon or armor even after the failure.

When an item is upgraded, the upgrades are applied from the lowest to the highest. This means that should a weapon gain an increase in crit chance, the increase is applied before any increase in attack damage. A new attribute called Slots is now added to the definition of the item and the value is recomputed each time an upgrade is made.

The amount of resources required to upgrade an item is determined on the rarity rating and number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading equipment that is not premium is equal to its base value. For example an item of common use could have five upgrades at a cost of. 25600 Technology Points 4x Quality Improvement Opportunity. Hero grade items have lower costs per upgrade.

Premium items have different requirements for upgrading in comparison to standard equipment. For instance, they might require fewer sowels, but more minerals and erons. However, players will have to visit the NPC [ArmorBoboko in Central Flarine. Boboko in Central Flarine with each piece of equipment they want to upgrade. In addition to the upgrade cost mentioned above, each upgrade requires an individual amount of upgrade ingredients.
