Robots That Vacuum And Mop: What No One Is Discussing
Robots That Vacuum and Mop
Robots that mop and vacuum offer the convenience of cleaning both dry debris (dust, dirt) and wet mess (spills, staining) in one session without the need to switch out devices. They can also reduce space when compared to two separate units, particularly in smaller living spaces.
A good combination bot will provide excellent navigation and obstacle avoidance. Find models that automatically empty their bin and refill their water tank and machine-wash their mopping pads from an appropriate dock.
1. Eufy S1 Pro
It's one of the simplest robots to install that we've tested. Unpacking the S1 Pro is simple, and an easy-to-follow guide will have you up and running with a clean and complete dust bag, a hard floor solution and water tank in no time at all.
The S1 Pro is a powerful little machine that is able to clean up a storm and is a great vacuum cleaner too. Its mops spin at high speeds and can apply 2.2 pounds (1kg) of force, which makes short work of pet hair, dirt and dried sticky spills. The vacuum cleaner comes with four power settings, as well as a selection of brushes and attachments as well as an intuitive app that lets you choose the kind of cleaning you'd like for each room.
For example, you can choose to have the robot take care of a thorough clean-up in the living and kitchen but go easy on the spare bedroom. The S1 Pro's front collision sensors and its smart navigation technology are also excellent and the robot vacuum uk is capable of detecting small obstacles that other models have difficulty overcoming. The only issue it has is that it can crash into walls and objects at a high speed, but just a glance at the history of cleaning in the app tells you exactly what it's doing as well as where it's heading and what obstacles it's run into or avoided.
A convenient LCD screen on the docking station shows you when maintenance jobs must be completed including emptying the debris tray, and rinsing its dirty water tank. It's also capable of mixing detergent automatically into the water tank by using a 600ml bottle filled with Eufy's own solution.
Both the S1 Pro mop and vacuum have a long run time. The mop can run for 184 mins in Quiet Mode, and the vacuum can run for 136 minutes in standard mode, before needing to recharge or returning back to the base. The app is simple to use and intuitive and lets you look at every aspect of the cleaning.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the most recent version of the company's most popular robot vacuum and mop. The model this year has two agitators built into its mopping pad. This enhances the cleaning capabilities of carpets with this model. The S8 Pro Ultra has an improved suction power that enables it to pull up finer hairs and other debris other robotic cleaners might miss.
The Roborock model, like the other two I tried is equipped with infrared and 3D obstacle avoidance technology to help it avoid obstacles such as furniture, walls and other obstacles. But the S8 Pro Ultra takes things an extra step by adding a dual camera which can recognize objects and determine whether they're a wall or another type of surface. It is able to change its path in a way that is automatic hoover and clean around them without missing a step.
It's the most expensive model I've tried, but it also has the most features. Its sleek, angular design is attractive and it has just three physical buttons which include the power button which can also restart cleaning; a mop button that doubles as a child lock; and a home button that can send the robot back to its dock. The hinged lid can be lifted to reveal 350ml of dust bin and 200ml water tank. The water tank will empty itself, and the bin is auto-refilling.
The only negative I found with this model is that its VibraRise mop pad mount isn't removable. While you can replace the mopping cloth (if necessary) however, it's a hassle to remove the mount for manual washing. I've found any plush carpet that the robot crosses will be in contact with the rough Velcro like fastener on mounts, which can cause scratches.
The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a number intelligent features, including support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. The Roborock app is where you can manage and set up these smart features. It also includes maps and advanced mopping options. The app allows you to schedule cleanings and track the battery's lifespan. But you'll need to jump through a few hoops in order to enable voice control on this model which is a pity considering how well it performs otherwise.

Another standout feature is the X40's extendable and liftable side brush, that allows it to reach hard-to-reach corners and intimately clean furniture such as table and chairs' legs. It can also get under furniture with low profile, making it an excellent option for apartments with small spaces or condos. The side brush also automatically swivels downwards when it detects wet spots, which is a nice addition that assists the X40 avoid damaging floors with excessive back-and-forth movements.

It also can detect if the mop pad is at its capacity to the max and alert you to the situation before it spills.
4. L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra robot vacuum cleaner is one of the most expensive models available on the market. It does have a number of characteristics that make it stand out. Smart DuoScrub, a new feature of its mop heads, makes use of two high-speed mop heads to scrub floors more thoroughly. It also has a suction force of 7,000Pa. This is significantly higher than that of the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra or Ecovacs Deebot T20 Omni, and it can remove pet hair and small dirt particles and also pick up spills and wet spots.
The mop is cleaned and dried at the base station every time they are used. This is a great feature because it prevents mould and unpleasant odours that can build up in the storage. It also makes the mop system more efficient. This is an option we haven't seen before on other robot mop or vacuum models. It could be a great way to keep your home clean longer.
There's a plethora of settings on offer, including the ability to schedule cleaning and adjust a variety of preferences. The app allows you to set these preferences or make use of the buttons on the device itself. The app is easy to use and offers a variety of options for customizing your cleaning routine. It also has many features that aren't available on other robots, such as the Clean Genius Mode, which automatically increases suction whenever it detects dust particles.
The L20 Ultra is also one of the most stylish robots we've seen on the market, with metallic and white design that is elegant and stylish. It's a bit heavier at 4kg than some of the other robots listed on this list but it's not a lot of weight. It is solid and well-built. The mopping system is also well-designed and the double-rotating mop works well on hard floors or in corners. The MopExtend feature allows them to reach even 2mm below the baseboards.
